On returning to Brisbane she developed her directing skills at QTC, where she was both Resident Director and Artistic Associate. Andrea has won many awards including London Monthly Best Actress, Edinburgh Fringe, 1991, Gold Matilda for direction of Venus in Fur and Matilda Best female actor for Switzerland. Andrea holds a doctorate in Creative Industries (QUT).
