Jake is best known for directing comedically-driven films such as Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story (2007), Bad Teacher (2011) and Sex Tape (2014). He is also known for his collaborations with actor Dwayne Johnson, of which there are 4 to date; Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017), Jumanji: The Next Level (2019), Red One (2024), and the yet unreleased Jumanji 4 (2026).
