Kazuo Tsuburaya

Kazuo Tsuburaya (円谷 一夫, Tsuburaya Kazuo) is a Japanese producer. As both the fourth and eighth president of Tsuburaya Productions, he oversaw the Ultraman Series for much of the Heisei era. Kazuo is the son of Noboru Tsuburaya and a grandson of Eiji Tsuburaya.

After graduating from the Faculty of Letters of Tamagawa University, he joined Tsuburaya Productions as a sales manager in 1983. He became president in 1995 following his father's death, a position he held until his cousin Masahiro Tsuburaya took over in 2003. In 2007, he was reappointed as president, before becoming honorary chairman in 2008, and then retiring in 2009.
