It was a historic meeting – the first in 11 years – where Moon Jae-in, President of South Korea and Kim Jong-un, Chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea found common ground. A number of pledges, including denuclearization, brought the 2 countries closer. Outside of politics, many private citizens have been working tirelessly to lay the foundations for a future where more exchange between North and South is possible.
