Anjali gets a less than welcome reception from Adam and Luke who don't want to ‘baby-sit' her. She's the new foster kid who likes to brag about anything she thinks will impress the others. However, the twins less than impressed decide to leave her behind and not take her to the Grove as they were asked to do by Lou.
The Hamster Race is also on. Stumpy's new hamster wins but he loses his friend Eve who thinks it was stupid because Akili could have been fired over the race had they been caught.
Still feeling confused and lonely since Claire left, Ben goes looking for Nikki only to be told by Greg to stay away. Back at home he rings the only person he feels he can talk to, Lou only to have the message he records on the answering machine smashed by Anjali who feels abandoned and alone.
