In recent months, some multinationals have been making super profits. Total, for example, currently earns 73 million euros per day. In 2021, according to figures from the French National Health Insurance, 72% of the amount of fraud detected will be committed by health professionals. Elise Lucet and her team investigated dental centres. Some of these groups seem to have become cash machines billing for useless or fictitious procedures. Repentant dentists testify. Former patients tell of being mutilated. Liberal nurses seem to be the health professionals who commit the most fraud. Some of them artificially inflate the bills of insured persons, especially the oldest and most vulnerable patients. Does the social security system manage to recover the money from fraud? With the introduction of third-party payment, the Assurance Maladie must now reimburse health professionals within a very short time. Even if it means carrying out few controls.

You will have heard of the CAP. The Common Agricultural Policy is the second largest budget in Europe, with 55 billion euros paid out each year. And, above all, France is the first country to benefit from it, with 9 billion euros per year. But, strangely, this money does not always go to farmers. In France, some farmers receive nothing, while large groups pocket several million euros in subsidies per year. The CAP is therefore inequitable, since half of the subsidies allocated go to 20% of the beneficiaries, while 80% have to share the rest.
