In Birmingham, married couple Veda and Varun kick off the competition with a Bollywood bash and an Indian-themed menu. Dave, and his retired wife Su, love the food but Su's thumb over Dave doesn't go unnoticed. For engaged pair Rachel and Anna, the food isn't up to scratch. Rachel and Anna aim to impress with their home-cooked favourites on night two. The men in the group feel outnumbered when the women go on the offensive on the subject of present giving. The last night sees Su and Dave throw a mad hatter-style tea party with costumes to suit. Rachel and Anna aren't impressed and believe more effort should have gone into the food, but when the group secretly find another dessert to eat, what will Su say? Will it ruin their chances of winning the grand?
