EMMY NOMINEE. Cleveland. October 27, 1989, 10-year-old missing Amy Mihaljevic was kidnapped and her body was later discovered in a field after a long search with the community's help. "The person who did it will have to face his maker. How can somebody live with this for 22 years?"

Los Angeles. September 2, 2012, escaped inmate, Darnell Washington, and his wife Tania Washington got into a gun battle with a police officer and remain on the run. October 19, 2009, 20-year-old Waymon Weston was killed while on the phone with his girlfriend. "This is something that tore our family apart."

Miami. November 3, 2011, while two men are headed to work, one is shot during a robbery. He was fortunate to survive. November 6, 2011, while a firefighter was inspecting fire hydrants, a thief stuck a gun in his face and demanded his jewelry. "He was scared, but did not hit me with any of the bullets."

Cleveland. December 13, 2008, 30-year-old John Lundy was driving while ambushed by multiple gunmen. August 20, 2001, 17-year-old Harun Frizzel was killed for his car keys, money, and sneakers. "I get up in the morning and I just cry because my little brother is gone."

Los Angeles. May 10, 2012, while celebrating Mother's Day, a stray bullet flies through the front door and the grandfather is shot. "My father-in-law said, I got hit!" A counterfeit danger to public safety message.

Miami. September 27, 2011, a 20-year-old beat an 88-year-old, Felix Espinosa, when her learned he had no money. March 8, 2013, Daniel Telfort was shot in his vehicle as he pulled up to his house. "My birthday was March the 6th. My son died March the 8th."

Cleveland. September 2, 2008, while returning home from his job at a night club, Migel Campbell was chased through the streets and gunned down in a robbery. December 27, 2008 career man Jason Henderson's life was ended when someone wanted to steal his car. "It's like so painful. It's life someone put a dagger in my heart."

Los Angeles. March 18, 1989, while crossing the street 3-year-old, D'Ancee Barnes was victim to a hit and run. October 27, 1999, WW II veteran Hebret Pryor was killed by two burglars as he walked into his home. "He was a Bombadeer. It's funny because none of us knew he had so many metals."

Miami. December 17, 2010, Nilo Vila was gunned down at his Hialeah apartment during an attempted arm robbery. March 17, 2011, Norman West found murdered near an alley. "We all argue, fuss, and fight, but that was our relationship. Now I don’t have that.”

Cleveland. April 4, 2009, Jason Cummings was robbed at gun-point and killed. July 20, 2007, handyman Grady Smith II was working on his car installing stereo equipment when was suddenly shot. “He and his wife were married for two years before he was murdered. They were expecting their first child."

Los Angeles. September 26, 2004, 20-year-old Willie Pigram, who was preparing to go to college, was shot and killed when cruising around the streets with friends Investigators call it mistaken identity. October 27, 1999, Herbert Pryor, a 83-year-old WWII veteran went for a night walk and on his way home, witnessed 2 suspects breaking into his home. Miami. October 19, 2009, Antonio was ambushed and shot after leaving a family members home for his golden necklace that was very valuable. Here is the tragic story. Case 2: On 7, 2011, 32-year-old Andre Lowe and 30-year-old Kevar Bain were kidnapped at a restaurant in Little Haiti and later they were executed.

Cleveland. May 2, 2004, 24-year-old Kirsten Prescott was found strangled by her own clothing. Her killer has never been caught. June 18, 2011, 32-year-old Deshaun Napier was celebrating his birthday at a nightclub on Lee Rd when he was shot and killed just outside the clubs parking lot. "What if I could've helped keep her away from that area? What if I would've kept her at home?"

Los Angeles. November 15, 2008, it's daytime and David Flores is walking down the street like so many of us do. He's at a corner when a car pulls up, a passenger steps out a stabs him. October 9, 2011, three armed and masked rob a store. "I wouldn't want another family to hurt like how we're hurting. If somebody did this once, they might do it again and hurt somebody else."

Miami. April 9, 2010, Jahyna Ware was tragically murdered from another car and later in hospital. October 11, 2009, Ernesto Ardines was outside school when killed. August 10, 2010, Sergeant Chris Reyka was murdered in the line of duty. September 16, 2008, Michael Garland was murdered while on his routine run around his school. "What harm did this seven-year-old do to justify such an assault?"

Cleveland. Two thieves who went on a one-night crime spree robbing three different stores. February 3, 2011 there was an electrical explosion at a Treatment Facility where sabotage is suspected. John Kearney left home to give a friend a ride but never made it back that Christmas day. "And I'm asking anyone out there that has maybe seen anything that Christmas morning or know anything."

Los Angeles. August 19, 2007. A gunman approached a backyard party and fired into the crowd. Two people ended up dead and in a cruel twist of fate, they were brother and sister. July 22, 2011, father of three, Julian Jimenez Castaneda, was murdered on his way home from his new job. "I know one of you is a friend of my son's and I know you are good kids. Please communicate with the detective."

Miami. April 29, 2011, 61-year-old Isabel Torres walked into a store he had no idea he was walking into an armed robbery and that it would cost him his life. June 17, 2010, Keith Washington on his way to pick up a friend, minutes later he was dead. December 17, 2006, Rachel Louis stopped by her boyfriend's home and minutes later, Rachel was "What if it was you? What if it was your family?"

Emmy Winner. Cleveland. Michael Carter Jr. was a nice kid. The 23-year-old was the only child of Michael Carter. Who killed their boy and why? This family needs your help. Albert Austin Jr., father of a young son and a friend to many was gunned down in front of his girlfriend's apartment.

Los Angeles. June 5, 2011, 28-year-old Ivan Anders was at a party with a date was suddenly stabbed to death. January 1, 2010, Joel Lamas spent the last few hours ringing in the new year, but he never made it home. He was shot and killed while walking home. "I miss him so much. There's no way to describe it."

Miami. August 10, 2010, Sergeant Chris Reyka was murdered in the line of duty. May 6, 2011, Elites Morin was waiting for a bus when killed. May 15, 2009, Keanthony Evans was riding his bicycle when he was ambushed by two armed males from whom he could not flee. "We all miss him and they just don't know what they did to me. They took a piece of my heart when they took my son away from me."

Cleveland. December 13, 2009 murder of Deondre Williams on Cleveland's west side. After the December 2009 murder of 28-year-old Williams, his family was rocked again by tragedy. This time by the murder of 27-year-old Terrence Nicholson in Cleveland's east side. "I really don't care about anything now except for just bringing this to justice. He didn't deserve this."

Los Angeles. December 18, 2001, Cedric Hurd was walking to visit his 3-year-old daughter and was shot and killed in front of his own daughter. August 16, 2011, 21-year-old Isaac Ramirez was walking in Compton when shot and killed, leaving a young girl with no father and no-one knows why. "I love him a lot and he meant so much to me."

Miami. May 14, 2011 Macario Ordonez was walking home when attacked in an attempted robbery. May 4, 2011, Donald Jones was approached by gunman. December 9, 2006, Starsky Garcia was murdered while leaving his apartment. April 2, 2010, Anthony Brown was ambushed by gunmen. "If it was you in that situation and he ain't home, you would feel the same way I feel. I'm out-living my kids."

Cleveland. October 30, 1992, 16-year-old Isaac Hardges was shot while in his parent's car. Isaac was paralyzed from the shooting and after 14 years in a wheel chair, he eventually died. November 26, 2009, Moussa Salti was working at his market when several thieves entered the store. "These people are going to kill somebody else. They're going to destroy families."

Los Angeles. June 16, 2010, Lanell Barsock was murdered in the living room of her very own Palmdale home. She was just 29-years-old. "Pick up the phone... because this woman, this person... she's dangerous."

Miami. May 17, 2011, James Belhomme was walking home when killed by a gunman. December 17, 2010, on his way to work, John Agudelo never even made it to his car. July 22, 2010, Dharmaniya Moore was shot and now suffers permanent brain damage. August 17, 2010, Officer Octavio Avila was murdered in the line of duty. "All people loved him. His family loved him with all their heart."

Cleveland. December 22, 2009, 32-year-old Jeron Morrison was shot and killed while walking to a store. September 12, 2005, Eligio Galarza was shot during a street brawl. "One bad person who cut short my son's life, it's not fair because he's so young, he can't go to school no more, he no have no fun, to enjoy life, because somebody killed for nothing."

Los Angeles. December 20, 1999, 2-year-old Kamelia Spencer was kidnapped by her father and grandmother and is still, to this day, missing. Here is the tragic story. Miami. January 13, 2002, successful music producer, Jason Norris, was brutally gunned down at gas station. June 10, 2010, Vincent Mckoy was killed when a random bullet came through the door. November 14, 2010, Michael Beatty II was targeted outside a convenient store. May 15, 2009, Keanthony Evans was ambushed by two armed males. "A lot of people are scared to talk."

Cleveland. December 5, 2010, a resident made a terrible discovery; father of 6, Lonzelle Booker was lying in his backyard dead from gunshot wounds. September 18, 2005, the body of Vincent Nasca was found in a vacant field. Police have been working for over five years to piece together the final hours of Vincent's life. "They all just miss him... it's taken a toll. It's taken a toll on all of us."

Los Angeles. September 10, 2011, Anthony Valle and Nelson Medrano, two young boys are killed and it's all caught on surveillance video. June 7, 2003, Torrey Jones was walking home to his apartment when he was approached by a stranger and immediately shot. Torrey was only 23-years-old. "What good can come out of this tragedy?"

Miami. July 22, 2010, 11-year-old Dharmaniya Moore was shot in a car and now suffers with permanent brain damage. December 9, 2006, 27-year-old Starsky Garcia was murdered while visiting his family. December 10, 2006, community hero Bradley Timpf was murdered after someone was trying to steal his car. "And I'm so grateful... because the whole ride there, he didn't stop breathing once."

Cleveland. May 8, 2009, 29-year-old Amir Devaughn was shot twice while driving near Princeton Avenue. September 6, 2002, 39-year-old Ronald Miller was shot by two juvenile suspects riding bikes in a park. "Your Dad's supposed to be the one who walks you down the aisle... and I'll never have that."

Los Angeles. October 19, 2009, LAPD respond to the scene where they found 20-year-old Waymon Weston shot while in conversation with his girlfriend. Caught on camera, October 9, 2011, three armed men holding firearms robbed a drug store; showcasing two suspect photos from August 7, 2011 when two men robbed a sushi restaurant in Lomita. "This is something that tore our family apart."

Miami. May 15, 2009, Keanthony Evans was riding his bicycle when ambushed by two heavily armed males from whom he could not flee. Cleveland. April 14, 2007, 37-year-old Gregory Fitz and three friends were returning from a night out when two males attempted to rob them. March 18, 2006, 25-year-old Jaylin Smith and friend were victims, instantly killing Jaylin. "This major person in our lives was suddenly just snatched away from us."

Miami. October 18, 2001, 14-year-old Dwayne Jackson from Southern California was shot with a shotgun by an unknown passenger in a taxi cab. May 4, 2006, security guard Frutoso Anguiano was taken by surprised by four armed men who assaulted and killed him in the supermarket store he worked at. "There was some kind of gang initiation, where they were looking for someone to shoot for a game."

Miami. March 13, 2010, 17-year-old Ladarius Frazer was shot after arguing with the suspect. January 23, 2009, 9 people were shot in what became known as The Liberty City Massacre. October 11, 2009, Ernesto Ardines was shot by a male who just started shooting. "Bullet shells everywhere around. Everybody was everywhere and, it was just horrible how all the kids was laying out on the ground."

Cleveland. September 5, 1998, 26-year-old Rashon Thomas was tragically murdered during robbery of a friend's apartment. November 4, 2008, 31-year-old Gary Griffin Jr. went to cast his vote in the U.S. Presidential election where he was then approached and shot. "I know one of you is a friend of my son's and I know you are good kids. Please communicate with the detective."

January 29, 1994, 14-year-old Thomas Weathersby was murdered by a group of men in a vehicle. His cousin, Max, was injured in the leg and survived. "If I just close my eyes and be still long enough, he's still with me."

Los Angeles. November 8, 2002, 19-year-old Jose Garci was murdered waiting outside his girlfriend's house in his vehicle. October 18, 2002, 15-year-old Brenda Sierra was walking to school when she was kidnapped by suspects. "People are not speaking out because they are afraid; but I would be more afraid of this person coming back and doing other things to other people."

Miami. June 5, 2010, Kareem Berry was murdered down whilst riding his bicycle outside a shopping plaza by suspects from a vehicle. December 4, 2009, Carol Taylor was visiting her hairdresser friend. On her way back home, she was stopped by a vehicle and killed. "We were in a state of shock. We lost a jewel. A part of us is gone."

Emmy Winner. Cleveland. May 18, 2006, 78-year-old landlady Catalina Piedra was murdered in her own home. August 26, 2010, 87-year-old WWII veteran Phillip Gossett was tragically murdered in the comforts of his own apartment by a suspected number of individuals. "They came in, they did what they did to her. No-one's heard or seen anything and it just strikes me to be unreal."

Los Angeles. December 3, 1978, Leslie Long, the mother of three was kidnapped from work during the robbery of a gas station in Palmdale. "This has been so long, I mean, like what did we say - 33 years, that old of a case, and this is something we've never talked about."

Emmy Nominee. Cleveland. July 1, 2010, Vidal Perez was opening his laundry shop when he was targeted in a shooting that left him with three gun shot wounds, one of which was in the back of his head; miraculously he survived. Here is his story. "I'm alive. I'm here because of the hands of the Lord. It's a miracle that I'm here. Once more God showed me the power of praying."

Emmy Winner. Ohio. June 25, 2008 Anthony Waters was visiting his mother, but was stopped by a group of teenagers who killed him. February 4, 2002, longtime anti-crime activist, Frances Jones, was murdered in her driveway after returning home from work. "She was important to a lot of people, especially to use, her family and to take her away from us is. It just leaves a hole in your heart."

Los Angeles. August 20, 2008, outdoor adventurer and sportsman Jonathan Muse was murdered on his bicycle in an underpass while riding to meet his girlfriend. September 8, 2010, former race driver and local repair shop owner, Hector Urias, was murdered in his office in the late hours. "There's a big piece of our puzzle missing and I'll never be the same."

Miami. May 6, 2010, 19-year-old Eric Pratt Jr. was murdered in broad daylight on a basketball court. September 16, 2008, Michael Garland was murdered while on a routine run around his local school. May 14, 2011, while walking home, Macario Ordonez was tragically murdered on the street. "And I pray every night who did it get caught, cause I miss him and I don't know why they take him like that."

Ohio. December 13, 2008, 30-year-old John Lundy was murdered after being targeted by multiple suspects after taking his vehicle out a garage. February 11, 2007, aspiring aviation student Kyle Davis was found murdered just days before he was accepted to his new school. "We cry every day, we miss him so-so much. This has been going on so long, we have no closure of this."

Los Angeles. November 3, 2000, 21-year-old music talent Anthony Prudhomme was murdered after his home was broken into while sleeping. May 16, 2010, aspiring lawyer Edwinta Hereford was murdered with her body discovered on the side of a freeway. "How do you wrap your brain around the fact that, your child has gone? You don't know why your child is gone. She loved people. She trusted people."

Miami. April 9, 2010, 49-year-old security guard Jesus Mejias was murdered and robbed in his home backyard after returning from the grocery store. "It's not necessary to give your name. Please, not for me or my family, but for my little girl who no longer has a father."
