Minerva Trask shows up to take Rachel back to Worthington Hall; she accuses her of accessory to the murder of her brother. Minerva threatens to go to the police if Rachel does not go back with her. Rachel is further upset when she finds that Tim Shaw is planning to marry Charity Trask. Magda helps Rachel by hiding her in the Collins mausoleum.
