Joris has reunited with Joyce and their children, but not everyone in the house is thrilled about this. Naomi’s ‘fourth base’ faces a rather unpleasant consequence for David. In contrast, better times finally seem to be dawning for Joris and Boudewijn.
It's all good again between David and Selly. Meanwhile, the contradictory messages from Greece that reach Joris about Jan and Marie's health, are gnawing at him. Boudewijn can achieve enormous success in business, but will have to go very deep for that. 'Fourth base' doesn't exactly lead to a home run for Naomi when Jesse dumps her and saddles her up with something.
Bibi’s behavior drives the men to letting her go. Boudwijn’s efforts to win Sophie’s heart are thwarted, while she seems to have made a significant decision. Selly and David’s relationship blossoms anew as they open their hearts, but will David find the courage to confess everything?
Bibi takes care of the gloomy David in her own unique way. After Naomi’s disastrous date with Jesse, David has reached an impasse with Selly. In contrast, Joris offers comfort to the renowned actress Rebecca Morisson, whose Dutch aunt has just passed away. Boudewijn achieves another triumph with Sophie in an extraordinary manner.
In Greece, Joris reunites with his Jan and Marie, but is Joyce truly doing as well as she claims? David, following the well-meant advice of his friends, decides to introduce his friends to Selly, who has three sons. In the process, David discovers the meaning of ‘base four’, which unfortunately has little to do with the American team sport.
Boudewijn and promises: not a very happy marriage. Joris has managed to collect the money for a flight to Greece, but an old fear rears its head.

David has decided to skip his birthday celebration and instead spend it romantically with Selly. Boudewijn has constructed a bed hut for Bart, or perhaps it’s a bed hut? Joris receives a mysterious proposal that promises him a substantial sum of money, allowing him to embark on a trip to Greece.
To make up for his son's broken arm, Boudewijn arranges a very special signature on the plaster. David gets 'stuck in an elavator', but he's not alone in that elevator. Would Joris be able to keep his word if Bibi seems to define the concept of comfort rather broadly?
Boudewijn painfully finds out what "flowers at the finish line" means and Tamar what a job actually means. Joris picks up boxing again to react to the grief he has.

Joris is consumed by Joyce’s anxiety about the upcoming birth. David and Tamar organize a party to celebrate their daughter’s sixteenth birthday, strengthening their bond. Sophie decides to officially divorce Boudewijn, who tries everything to prevent it.
David and Tamar are camping in their own garden for some rest for their family. Joris constantly tries to calm due to the upcoming birth. Boudewijn fall under the spell of an interior caretaker.
The three men decided to make a new start. Joris is preparing the birth of the twins. Boudewijn hopes to get better in touch with Sophie by help from a mediator David makes short work of the lover of Tamar.
David does not tolerate the relationship between Tamar and the gym teacher of their daughter. Desiree leaves David. Boudewijn may sell the house of Desiree and does so in a very special way. The guys must do everything possible to preserve the mother of Joris as the house cleaner.
Robert and Jackie move toward a new step in their real-estate business. Frances faces the fallout of a successful opening at her gallery, and enlists Robert’s help with a home-repair project. A returned favor from Frances sets Diane on a bender, which comes back to haunt her at another eventful party.
Frances spots the dashing art bigwig Skip Zakarian at an auction, and takes the opportunity to invite him to Sylvia’s upcoming show, where he shows interest in more than art. A successful sale inspires Jackie to propose that she and Robert team up on a house-flipping business, but he has qualms about the idea.
After Robert finds Tom in a compromising position, Frances and Robert re-visit their marriage counselor to set new ground rules for the kids. Frances weighs how serious her new relationship with Andrew should be. Jackie seeks out Dallas’ advice during a chance encounter at Diane’s country club.
Frances learns that Robert has a new woman in his life, and enlists Diane and Dallas to get intel on her before Lila’s 13th birthday party.
When Robert’s dad falls ill, Robert and Frances reunite in Ohio, where they reminisce about happier times, and deal with Robert’s overbearing sister, Cathy. Back in Hastings-on-Hudson, Tom jumps at the chance to chauffeur Diane around town in her luxury car.
After helping her new friend, Andrew, appraise art, an inspired Frances tries to track down an unknown painter. Diane attempts to ignore her issues with Nick by throwing herself into the gallery. Sparks fly when Robert shows his house to a realtor.

After his coworkers encourage him to get back in the game, Robert reconnects with Janice, who tries to help him live out a fantasy. After finally signing divorce papers, a financially strapped Robert looks for work and a new living situation, while Frances battles insomnia and her newly complex relationship with her children. Diane and Nick’s new communication technique leads him to make an unexpected decision. Dallas continues her secret fling with Robert’s lawyer, Tony Silvercreek.

Joris cheerfully accepts Joyce's graduation gift and a celebratory dinner, only to be 'treated' to the news that she secretly expects his twins. The inevitable death of the worn-out family dog brings Boudewijn close enough to Sophie, so he dumps Leonore. David allows his boys to go on Candian holiday with their mother and aunt, so he can concentrate on wining nd dining his cardiologist, but his ridiculously expensive steak gets lost.
Joris has exam anxiety. David fights with Tamar on her planned six weeks holiday with the kids. Sophie finds out about Boudewijn's relations with Leona and demands he breaks up with her.
Joris is now confident enough about his reading lessons to accept, caught, some tutoring from Daid's obviously smitten daughter Naomi, who finds an enemy in parasite Joyce. Boudewijn's sex date with the allergic boy's mother frustratingly is canceled last-minute due to the queasy knave missing football practice. David gets jealous of 'romantic rival' Boudewijn, even wants to throw him out of the house, only to find his mate unwittingly 'dates' his cardiologist merely for her family estate sale.
Tensions between Frances and Robert ease after Lila has an emergency, but a cutthroat move by Frances' new lawyer sends Robert on a vengeful path. An encounter at the grocery store crystallizes Diane's feelings about motherhood. Frances makes a confession to her father at her gallery opening and is surprised by an unexpected visitor.
Robert's lawyer insinuates that Frances is a negligent mother. Frances' lawyer encourages her to get more involved, so she drops in on a parents' committee meeting at school. Diane and Nick throw another party, where Dallas finds herself pursued by Robert's plus-one.
Frances chases a new role, but fails to consider some of the consequences. Robert has something of an epiphany and and a new found positivity with his kids; and also confronts Julian in a surprising way.
Frances and Robert try to set aside their differences and make their annual Christmas trip to her parents' house with the children.
Robert evisages his 'Funspace', pitching it to Nick and also engages a well meaning, but ineffective, lawyer. Frances gets the keys to her new gallery, meets some interesting artists and also 'lawyers up', potentially at least, much more effectively. However, Robert somewhat upgrades his hire...
In hopes of keeping their split amicable, Frances and Robert meet with a mediator. Frances confides in a co-worker, and Robert gets surprising financial news.
Robert and Frances attend couples therapy in an effort to see if their marriage is salvageable. Frances gets advice from Dallas, while Robert vents at work. At home, tensions mount as Frances and Robert try to maintain a facade of normalcy for the children. Frances arrives at an epiphany.
