Scared of My Spouse

Sue says her husband of 12 years, Andy, is verbally abusive and that she’s so scared of him, she remains submissive — including getting drunk and having sex with him — to keep the peace. She says, “If he’s going to kill me, he’s going to kill me. I feel like I’m already dead.” So, why is she worried that Andy will leave her?
