ICAC Investigators 2007

Serious piling problem is found in two of the blocks of a newly established housing estate. ICAC carries out investigation on Housing Department and their contractor CHAN LIK TO. Investigator IRENE discovers that the chief engineers LEUNG TIK WAI and LAI CHI KIT are involved in the case. In order to avoid the building from collapsing, the Housing Department decides to spend huge sum of money to rebuild two blocks. The Department also plans to announce the news to the public to protect their interest. ICAC believes that all evidence will be destroyed after the announcement so they urge the Housing Department postpones the public announcement for a week…

The Railway Corporation asks ICAC to carry out investigation on their Freight Section because they suspect that their staffs are illegally utilizing the empty railway compartment for smuggling. The freight transportation system will be computerized in one month’s time and all evidence will be destroyed by then. ICAC investigators therefore try to infiltrate into the Freight Section to carry out investigation and the main suspect is the Manager LEUNG CHI KIN. KIN appears to be a good boss and he is having a good relationship with his wife LI YUE KUEN. KIN is eventually arrested and KUEN also discovers that he has been committing adultery. KUEN asks KIN to deny his guilt in order to protect their son from the shock. On the other hand, the chief instigator asks KIN to leave Hong Kong secretly…

WAH invites the famous Barrister NORA CHENG to defend for him and CHENG has been taking the lead in the trial… ICAC had carried out investigation on WAH many years ago. During the time, WAH teaches a mainland trader SO LAI MAN to give fake evidence in court so that she could be released. WAH’s tricks were being discovered but he had successfully escaped from the prosecution. ICAC discovers that the bank has been offering unreasonably large amount of loans to WAH’s subsidiaries. ICAC Chief Investigator POON CHIN KEI finds that the investigation on CHIN HO TUNG, Senior Superintendent of the Narcotics Bureau, is the most remarkable experience in his working history. TUNG is a very successful and reputable senior inspector in the police force. However, ICAC receives complaints about him and starts investigation. They discover that TUNG has been accepting benefits from Senior Inspector WU CHUN WAH, WAH’s wife CHOI YUE who operates a pub and a triad society member HAK CHAI MING.
