Hope on the Street

j-hope returns to where he and his dancing dreams were first ignited, visiting his old crew, Neuron, for a deep dive back into the past. As he dances once more with the group that kickstarted his journey, j-hope finds himself reconnecting with his roots, reliving the early days that set him on the path to where he is today.

We’re all familiar with the term “soulmate,” and there’s no doubt that the other members of BTS are j-hope’s. However he has one additional soulmate: hip-hop. Journeying to New York, j-hope seeks out a first-generation pioneer of hip-hop dance. How would it feel to learn hip-hop from this legendary dancer? Just dancing with him fills j-hope with excitement.

With his heart set on learning the extremely captivating dance style called house, j-hope heads to Paris. He starts out with only a passing knowledge of the style, giving viewers an inside look at how he takes his raw talent and moves from the fundamentals of house to more elaborate moves.

Locking and unlocking— the essence of the locking dance, also apply to life. At times, we need restraint, and at other times, the freedom to express ourselves fully is crucial. As BTS embarks on their chapter, j-hope navigates when to lock, and when to unlock. Drawing parallels with life’s dynamics, he seeks wisdom from his first dance instructor, adding depth to his journey.
