On the verge of turning 30, Hoshino Rin, a “kind but unfortunate girl who takes care of others”, is at rock bottom, with neither a job nor a boyfriend.
Through her older brother’s introduction, she begins working as a housekeeper for Wakatsuki Iku, a genius programmer.
