Summary

Clarice’s law career derails before it begins—she loses her internship and Philadelphia apartment, landing her at her mother’s beach house in Dewey Beach. There, a reluctant job at Gary’s Bar and Grill leads her into the chaotic, colorful world of its staff: Sophie, Emma, Andre, Zion, Michael, Brian, and Gary himself. Amidst flubbed orders and late-night laughs, Clarice bonds with the crew and clashes-then-connects with Luke, the owner’s son. As music, friendship, and self-doubt stir within her, a surprise job offer forces Clarice to decide: return to the life she planned, or stay with the people and place that just might feel like home.
