Jesus Wonder

Jesus and his disciples were sailing on Galilee. Jesus fell asleep. A squall came that swamp the boat. The disciples woke him. Jesus got up and rebuked the wind and calm the storm. When Jesus stepped ashore, a demon-possessed man cried out, I beg you, don't torture me. I am Legion. Do not order us into the Abyss. Jesus then ordered the demons out of the man and gave them permission to go into the pigs. (Luke 8:22-33)

A rich ruler asked Jesus, Good teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life? Jesus answered, You know the commandments: You shall not commit adultery, you shall not murder, you shall not steal, you shall not give false testimony, honor your father and mother He said, All these I have kept since I was a boy. Jesus said to him, you still lack one thing. Sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me. (Luke 18:18-22)

Jesus told a story about a man who was attacked by robbers. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him to half dead. A priest saw the man, he passed by. So too, a Levite saw him, passed by. But a Samaritan saw him, he bandaged his wounds, brought him to an inn and took care of him. Which of these three was a neighbor to the victim? The expert in the law replied, the one who had mercy on him. Jesus said, Go and do likewise. (Luke 10:30-37)

It was late in a remote place while Jesus was teaching a crowd of five thousand. Jesus asked his disciples to feed the people. They said, that would take more than half a year's wages. We only have five loaves of bread and two fish. Jesus toke the five loaves and two fish, gave thanks, then distribute to the people. They all ate and were satisfied, remaining twelve baskets of bread and fish. (Mark 6:35-44)

By the Lake of Galilee, Jesus said to Peter, put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch Peter answered, Master, we've worked hard all night and haven't caught anything. But I will let down the nets. They caught such a large number of fish they broke their nets. Everyone was astonished. Jesus said to Peter, From now on you will fish for people. (Luke 5:1-10)

Jesus entered Capernaum. A centurion's servant was sick and about to die. The centurion sent some elders to ask Jesus to heal his servant. Jesus agreed to go but then the centurion said, Lord, don't trouble yourself to go. But say the word, and my servant will be healed. Jesus said, I have not found such great faith even in Israel. Then they found the servant had become well immediately. (Luke 7:1-10)

Jesus and his disciples met a widow with her only son just died and being carried out in the town gate of Nain. Jesus said to the widow, Don' t cry. Then Jesus went up and touched the bier and said, Young man, I say to you, get up. The dead man sat up and began to talk, and Jesus gave him back to his mother. (Luke 7:11-15)

Jesus left the synagogue and went to the home of Peter. Now Peter's mother-in-law was suffering from a high fever, and they asked Jesus to help her. So he rebuked the fever, and it left her. At sunset, the people brought to Jesus all who had various kinds of sickness, and laying his hands on each one, he healed them. Demons came out of many people, shouting, You are the Son of God. (Luke 4:38-41)

In the wedding at Cana, when the wine was gone, Jesus' mother said to him, "They have no more wine." Jesus said, "Dear woman, why do you involve me? My time has not yet come." Jesus then asked the servants to fill the jars with water and bring it out. The water turned into wine. This is the first miracle Jesus performed. (John 2:1-11)

Zacchaeus, a chief tax collector, was wealthy. He climbed a sycamore-fig tree to see Jesus through the crowd. Jesus said to him, "Zacchaeus, come down immediately. I must stay at your house today." Zacchaeus said, I give half of my possessions to the poor." Jesus said, For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost." (Luke 19:1-10)

Jesus was teaching in the synagogue in Capernaum. A man who was possessed by an unclean spirit cried out, What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are the Holy One of God. Be quiet. said Jesus sternly. Come out of him. The unclean spirit came out. A new teaching and with authority. Even unclean spirits obey Jesus. (Mark 1:21-27)

Jesus saw a man blind Born Blind. Jesus said, While I am in the world, I am the light of the world. Jesus spit on the ground, made some mud with the saliva, and put it on the man's eyes. Go, he told him, wash in the Pool of Siloam. The man went and washed and came home seeing. (John 9:1-7)

Jesus was teaching. Some men came carrying a paralyzed man on a mat and tried to take him into the house to lay him before Jesus. When they could not find a way to do this because of the crowd, they went up on the roof and lowered him through the tiles into the middle of the crowd, right in front of Jesus. When Jesus saw their faith, he said, Friend, your sins are forgiven. Get up, take your mat and go home. (Luke 5:17-24)

Jairus, a synagogue leader, came to ask Jesus to save his dying daughter. Someone came, your daughter is dead. Jesus arrived at Jairus's house but did not let anyone go in with him except Peter, John and James, and the girl's parents. She is not dead but asleep. Jesus held the girl's hand and said, My child, get up. Her spirit returned, and at once she stood up. (Luke 8:41,42,49-55)

As Jesus was on his way, the crowds almost crushed him. And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years, but no one could heal her. She came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak, and immediately her bleeding stopped. Someone touched me; I know that power has gone out from me. Jesus said, Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace. (Luke 8:43-48)

Jesus came down from the mountainside. A leper came and knelt before him and said, Lord, if you are willing, you can cleanse me. Jesus touched the man. I am willing he said. Be clean. Immediately he was cleansed of his leprosy. Then Jesus said to him, see that you don't tell anyone. But go, show yourself to the priest and offer the gift Moses commanded, as a testimony to them. (Matthew 8:1-4)

The angel went to Mary and said, "Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God. You will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus. He will be great and called the Son of the Most High. God will give him the throne of David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever; his kingdom will never end." (Luke 1:28-33)
