Raymond gives serious thought to selling up and moving to the countryside, convinced there's no future for him if Allison leaves town with Mark. Meanwhile, Michael gets an emergency call from Jane, who's ben taken into hospital.

Allison's fiancee visits Dublin and has a bone to pick with Raymond.

Raymond learns his ex-girlfriend Kate has been involved in a car accident and rushes to her hotel bedside - where she leaves him shaken by confessing her love for him.

Raymond and Allison cannot shake the holiday fever they have picked and try to have a cheap day out in Dublin. On discovering he is about to be a father, Michael is inspired to look for work, and Barry also has his own dreams to pursue.

After selling their home on Bachelors Walk, Raymond has been living alone and struggling with his writing career; Michael is back at home with his parents, experiencing a kind of regression; and Barry has become a success in London, but returns to Dublin, prompting the reunion of the three friends.
