Skip Shutter takes Elsie back to the windmill on his motorcycle and sidecar after collecting a basket full of fresh eggs. However, an ill-advised short cut across rough ground causes the vehicle to separate. Skip goes one way and Elsie the other, and by following a trail of broken eggs Stan and Little Red Tractor find Elsie, still sat in the sidecar, balanced precariously on the edge of a cliff.

Their investigations lead them to the front garden of Mr Jones, who shoos them away, seeing an opportunity to develop his own bottled water plant. He hops into Big Blue and starts digging, only to crack a water main and cut off the water supply to the neighbourhood. It's all hands to the pump as people join together to return services to normal.

But will they be in time?
