Following the Rangers' decision to take justice into their own hands, Major Beck goes to extreme measures to prove he's in complete control of the town, while Hawkins receives a call from Chavez telling him that it's time to transport the bomb.
Jake and the Rangers take on Goetz and Ravenwood while a Jericho Ranger makes a choice that will alter his life. Meanwhile, an old friend comes to warn Heather that her loyalties to Major Beck have placed her in serious danger.

Jericho makes a deal with New Bern to send ten of their people to New Bern to make more wind turbines as long as New Bern receives a percentage of their spring crop.
After a company of Marines show up, the town of Jericho has hopes that life will finally start to return to normal. However, their behavior raises Jake's and Johnston's suspicions.
While on a hunting trip outside of Jericho, Jake, Stanley and Mimi find themselves in a dangerous situation when they run into some strangers. Meanwhile, Hawkins realizes that his family is in danger because of him. Emily and Roger work on their relationship.
Jake, his dad, Heather and Dale visit Black Jack to try and find the parts needed to fix the windmill. Sarah goes home with Hawkins against the rest of his family's wishes.

Some of the residents of Jericho are concerned that Gray's actions may actually make Gray the new mayor. In other news, Mitchell claims that Jonah is the killer under much speculation.
Supplies are dropped by air into Jericho and the Green's and Hawkins think that they know where they came from. Jonah Prowse returns to Jericho causing even more trouble.
The residents of Jericho receive a visit from a group of questionable outsiders and they realize that they need to form a plan to keep the outsiders out. Emily has a dream about her wedding morning to Roger. She wakes up and realizes that he is probably dead.
In the aftermath of the trial, ANNIE and JOHNNY’s relationship is out in the open and they’re finally able to enjoy the intimacy of their union. With COATES on his way out of town, it seems that nothing can now disturb the peace and closeness between them. Except that COATES is determined that his time in Jericho is not yet done. The new quarry is a huge success for Jericho. Blasting through the rock, the men discover a cavern of sandstone that will change the fortunes of the viaduct. The only problem is that Jericho’s navvies won’t go near it: superstitions abound that the mine is on cursed land, the land where the bodies of HAPPY JACK, SKINNY and RED were buried.
Johnny is the number one suspect following the murder of Red Killeen. Charles has washed his hands with his brother and Coates takes it upon himself to lock Johnny up pending the judgement of the law. Annie makes a desperate plea with Charles to have him released but he is still furious about having found out that Johnny and Isabella slept together.
Charles needs a surveyor to discover the most affordable location to quarry stone for the viaduct. Annie and Johnny learn that the quarry site is where the bodies of Happy Jack and Skinny are buried and they become worried. Everything they thought was dead and buried could now destroy everything that they have fought for.
Charles and Isabella feel the pressure with no hope of outside investment and with their horns still locked with Johnny, money for the viaduct is running out and wages have to be paid. After Charles announces that wages will be delayed, the navvy workforce is up in furious and calls a strike.
News of Johnny's true identity spreads throughout the town, leaving him isolated.
Annie's world is rocked when Martha falls seriously ill with fever.
Annie opens the door for Bamford the railway detective, who has returned to Jericho.
Annie Quaintain sets off with her children for a new life in Jericho and ends up setting up a boarding house for the labourers. But she is not the only new arrival in town. Handsome navvy Johnny is returning to his native Yorkshire from Africa - only to make violent enemies with a hot-tempered colleague.
