When Ali falls ill and goes to the doctor, he learns he has a brain tumor. The doctor doesn't offer much hope. Ali is devastated. He doesn't want his daughter Çiçek to grow up knowing her father as a murderer, and he feels compelled to tell her that it was her brother, Cemal Göreçki, who committed the murder, not him.
