The Pandavas, sent to Varnavat as part of Duryodhan’s ploy, get trapped in the burning Lakshagriha one night, leading to the rise of Lord Krishna as their guiding force.
When the Kauravas fail to defeat Drupad, the Pandavas step forward to fulfil Drona's command. Back in Hastinapur, the people shower love upon the Pandavas, especially Yudhishthir.
After completing their training, the Pandavas and Kauravas return to Hastinapur. But the celebrations are cut short when Drona demands King Drupad's capture as his Gurudakshina.
Karn accepts Parashuram’s curse and Vijay bow with dignity. Arjun saves Guru Drona from a crocodile. Bhishma stops as Karn dares Arjun for a duel, leaving their rivalry unresolved.
At the Gurukul, Drona trains the Pandavas and Kauravas. They meet Eklavya, who secretly learnt archery by watching Drona. When Drona finds out, he asks for Eklavya's right thumb.
After seeing Acharya Drona's skill, Bhishma appoints him the Royal Guru of the Kuru princes. This angers Karn, who feels insulted and leaves the Gurukul, vowing to surpass Arjun.
A jealous Duryodhan poisons Bheem and throws him in a river. He reaches Nagalok and gets blessed with divine elixir. On returning to Hastinapur, he exposes Duryodhan's treachery.
Kunti and Pandavas' return to Hastinapur marks a silent rivalry within the Kuru dynasty. Destiny signals a war of hatred after Duryodhan maliciously invites Bheem to a feast.
Bheem and Duryodhan are born into contrasting worlds. Indra Dev blesses Kunti with a heroic son, Arjun. Pandu's tragic death has Kunti leading her sons towards their destiny.
After two years, Gandhari gives birth to a lifeless mass. Sage Ved Vyasa explains it's a divine process, splitting the mass into one hundred parts to mature over time.
Dhritharashtra reluctantly agrees to rule Hastinapur. Sage Kindam's curse stops Pandu from fathering children, and Gandhari's delayed pregnancy creates anxiety in the palace.
Pandu leaves Hastinapur for Dhritharastra. In the forest, he encounters Sage Kindam and his wife. Meanwhile, Gandhari receives boon of motherhood.
Kunti accepts Pandu and Madri's reunion. Pandu's Digvijay Yatra is successful. Shakuni's manipulation fuels Dhiritarashtra's insecurity. Cracks begin to form within the royal family.
Kunti accepts King Pandu as her husband and is welcomed warmly in Hastinapur. She feels shattered when Pandu returns from the Digvijay expedition with Madri as his second wife.
After Dhritarashtra and Gandhari's wedding, Shakuni opts to stay in Hastinapur. Bhishma proposes Pandu's marriage to Princess Kunti, but she has a secret from her past.
Shakuni condemns Gandhari's marriage to a blind prince, yet he vows his lifelong support to his sister. Later, the sight of blindfolded bride shocks Hastinapur's royal family.
Gandhari's parents worry when Bhishma informs them that she is to wed the blind prince Dhritarashtra and not Pandu. Overhearing them, the princess quietly accepts fate.
After their gurukul training, the three princes return to Hastinapur where Pandu is declared king. This shatters Dhirtarashtra, prompting Bhishma and Satyavati to find him a bride.
The Niyoga leads to the birth of the blind Dhritarashtra, the weak Pandu and the wise Vidur. Later, the three princes leave for Kripacharya's gurukul where their journey begins.
After Vichitravirya dies, Satyavati asks Bhishma to break his lifelong vow ans ascend the throne. When Hastinapur falls into bad times, Satyavati seeks the help of Sage Vyas.
Overjoyed when Bhishma grants her freedom, Amba returns to King Salva. However, the monarch rejects her. Furious, Amba faces Bhishma and demands justice, vowing harsh consequences.
Hastinapur mourns death of another king. When Vichitravirya is crowned, the time comes for him to marry. Meanwhile, the king of Kashi declares the swayamvar of his daughters.
Shantanu's health begins to fade as he yearns for Satyavathi. Concerned, Devavrata visits the Nishad king with Shantanu's marriage proposal but receives a condition in return.
Shantanu watches in silent agony as Ganga drowns their newborns until his patience shatters. Years later, Shatanu comes across a fierce, noble warrior and a wise boatwoman.
When Shantanu falls in love with Ganga, she agrees to marry him under one strict condition: he must never question or stop her in anything she does.
