In a large shopping mall, a gang of intruders removes money from cards using new contactless data reading technologies. Operatives from Kolosov's department are assigned to find the criminals. In hot pursuit, Kotov, Stroganova and Frolov manage to detain a young man who betrays his roommate Valery Zimin. Valery is arrested, and Kolosov reports to Yudin that there is one detainee in the case. Nevertheless, the thefts don't stop there.
