The gang ends up in court. Thanks to the key testimony of one of the criminals, Scialoja manages to arrest them. The network of agreements and friendships allows Dandi to be exonerated due to lack of evidence. But in the post-sentence confusion, two other gang members escape.
The gang is torn apart by quarrels and betrayals. Freddo ends up in prison, Bufalo seeks revenge on the increasingly rich and powerful Dandi. Commissioner Scialoja tries to exploit the moment of confusion to launch a decisive attack with the help of an unexpected witness.
