During the kidnapping, Caravaggio is infected with a virus that gives him a second, evil personality. The Tulip is boarded by Navarre, a rogue Orchard scientist who wants to help Luc rescue Dante. While Percy is trying to save the ship from self-destruction by Caravaggio, The Tulip is again boarded - this time by Salomea, a Raider who claims she is working for Travis.
