The Brady Bunch

Peter is ecstatic when he gets a job at Martinelli's bike shop. However, his wanting to do a thorough job inhibits his speed and work begins piling up as well as customers begin to customers demand their bikes. This leads Mr. Martinelli to give Peter the axe.

Marcia has a big problem when she inadvertently makes two dates for the same night. One with Charlie and the other with Doug, the big man on campus. She makes a excuse to Charlie to go out with Doug but quickly learns Doug was only interested in having a pretty girl on his arm after Marcia is hit in the face with a football.

The principal calls home to alert Mike and Carol to the fact that Bobby's playing Jesse James at school. This leads Mike and Carol to learn just how obsessed Bobby about his "idol" and try to dissuade him from worshiping a cold hearted killer.

The Brady kids want to buy a silver platter for Mike and Carol's wedding anniversary but their short on money so they take to means to get enough cash. This leads them to put together an act and appear on a TV amateur contest.

Bobby mentions to Mike and Carol that Greg was in a near car accident on the freeway due to the fact that he was reading the cover jacket of a new record. This leads Mike and Carol to suspend Greg's car privileges for a week on the eve of a big date with his girlfriend Rachel.

Bobby is crestfallen when he is picked to be safety monitor at school. With Mike and Carol's encouragement, Bobby becomes determined to be the best safety monitor ever but in the process becomes the most unwelcome person at his school, not to mention at home.

Marcia falls for Dr. Vogel, the family's new dentist. When Dr. Vogel asks Mike if Marcia would be interested in doing some babysitting for his kids, she misinterprets it for him asking her out on a date.

Peter is determined to get the part of George Washington in the school play but the teacher thinks Peter would be better in the role of Benedict Arnold. When his friends start making snide comments about it he decides to get himself kicked out of the play.

Greg is crazy for his latest girlfriend, Jennifer but things get difficult for him when he learns that both Jennifer and Marcia are competing for head cheerleader and he just happens to be one of the judges.

The kids begin to give Alice the cold shoulder treatment after she reveals that Greg and Peter broke an antique lamp of Carol's. The girls join the bandwagon when Alice innocently tells Carol that Marcia left the stereo on all night. Feeling unwanted and no longer needed, Alice quits.

In a paper for English class, Greg writes about wanting to follow in his dad's footsteps and become an architect. When Mike, reads the paper, he is ecstatic and goes all out encouraging him unknown to him Greg just picked whatever career to write the paper. Meanwhile, Peter and Jan also explore careers.

Jan is fed up with the number of people in the household and voices her want to be an only child. So the other kids oblige and give her all the space she wants and she finds that she has more space than she needs or even wants when she begins to excluded from the other kids activities.

Marcia and Greg's high school is putting on Family Frolics activity which is a type of variety show with the students and their families providing the entertainment. This leads Marcia to talk Carol into performing a routine with her while Greg and Mike collaborate on their own.

One evening, Jan and Cindy claim to have seen a ghost but is revealed to be a trick by Greg, Peter and Bobby. This leads the girls to use the same tactics the boys used to scaring them. However, things get out of hand when Alice becomes the target of the scare tactics.

One afternoon, Jan brings her friend, Kerry home and introduces her to her family. Kerry quickly makes the biggest impression on Peter who wants Greg's advice on landing a girl. This leads to Greg playing Cyrano for Peter, however, Kerry mistakenly thinks Greg is the one who has feelings for her.

It's the beginning of another school year, and Marcia panics about becoming a freshman in school, going as far as pretending to be sick. However, after parents see through her act, they give her some advice, get involved and she does, joining every group or club available.

An archeologist traps the boys in the caves at the burial ground and takes them hostage insisting they tell him where they found the idol. Meanwhile, Jan, Marcia and Cindy debate on whether or not to tell Mike and Carol, the boys whereabouts when they fail to come back for dinner.

During a surfing competition, Greg wears Bobby's taboo idol and "wipes out". Soon after, Greg, Peter and Bobby learn of the ancient superstition from a construction worker, Mr. Hanalei. This leads the boys to search for an ancient burial ground to return the idol to break the curse. However, when they arrive at the burial ground, they are unaware of a shadowy figure trailing them.

Mike has to check on the construction of a building that his construction firm is building and it so happens the building is in Hawaii, so he takes the whole family along. However, ancient Hawaiian superstition begins to plague the family when Bobby discovers a ancient taboo idol that brings bad luck to those who touch it. Part 1 of three.

Peter is popular with his classmates when they find their names in his newspaper column. When he starts getting a poor grade he decides to improve it by flattering his teacher.

Bobby bets Greg that he can't do twice as many chin-ups as him. Greg, confident he'll win sits back while Bobby practices. However, Greg is totally unprepared when he looses and Bobby begins taking advantage of the terms of winning.

Jan discovers her Aunt Jenny looked exactly like her when she was young. Curious about how she looks now and thinking perhaps that is how she'll turn out to look, Jan asks her for a picture of her now. This causes Jan to become distressed since Jenny, now, doesn't look to attractive.

Greg, wanting to make a record, books a recording studio and plans on singing a song with his siblings. However, when Peter's voice begins to change, his hopes of recording his planned song are dashed.

Bobby becomes extremely self conscious about his height and tries different ways to make himself "big." First he tries stretching himself, and then he decides to improve his mind by memorizing a bunch of worthless facts.

When Bobby and Cindy are not invited to a wedding because they're too young, they set out to do something important. Their goal, break a teeter-totter record.

After taking the wrong bike from school and when her grades begin to slip, Jan learns she may need glasses. Meanwhile, Mike's anniversary gift to Carol is a portrait of the six kids. The trick is getting the kids to the photographer without Carol finding out.

Marcia makes a promise that she will get Davy Jones to perform at the prom. A promise she quickly learns is going to be very difficult to keep, since trying to get a hold of him is almost impossible.

Greg wants to be on the football team, but Carol is against it, fearing that he's going to get hurt. Carol's fears come true when Greg fractures a rib. Meanwhile, Bobby gets a camera.

Tired of being in Marcia's shadow, Jan is determined to do something that Marcia never did. However, Jan becomes more depressed when she fails to make the pom-pom team and her friend makes the squad. Then she wins first prize in the essay contest and finds out her teacher made a mistake in scoring.

Peter begins to secretly eavesdrop in on his siblings private conversations with the help of Mike's tape recorder. This cause sibling rivalry and discord between his brothers and sisters.

A commercial producer discovers the Brady family while they are grocery shopping, one afternoon. He quickly wants them to be in a laundry soap commercial and soon the problem is whether or not to do the commercial since they don't use the product.

When Marcia gets the lead as Juliet in the school play, she lets it go to her head, which causes her to become unbearable at home and at school and plays as the major reason why she is replaced by her understudy.

Convinced he doesn't have personality, Peter goes all out to try to get one. After imitating celebrities, Peter decides to try a funny personality in which he stocks up on jokes and plans to show his new personality off at a party.

Greg is furious when he discovers Marcia is dating Warren Mulaney, his arch rival who beat him out in a basketball rank. To get revenge, Greg begins dating the woman who beat Marcia out in cheerleading.

Greg buys his first car for $100 from his friend Eddie who made the car into something it's not. Finding that he has been stuck, Greg attempts to do the same thing Eddie did, when he tries to sell the car.

Bobby and Cindy find their way back to camp bringing relief to a worried Mike and Carol. However, Bobby and Cindy's wanting to help the Indian boy, Jimmy, in his quest of running away to become an astronaut gets them into more trouble.

After escaping the jail cell, the Brady finally arrive in the Grand Canyon and set up camp. Later, the family is thrown into a panic, when Bobby and Cindy get lost in the canyon while chasing and Indian boy.

The Bradys set out for a family vacation to the Grand Canyon. However, en route, the family stops in an old ghost town where an old prospector locks them in a jail cell.

After witnessing a magician performing a disappearing act, Cindy refuses to sleep with the lights off. Meanwhile, Peter begins to develop a magic act and a reluctant Cindy agrees to be his assistant.

A reporter interviews Marcia and asks her about her views on Women's Lib. This leads to her joining Greg's Frontier Scouts to try to prove a woman can do anything a man can do.

Greg, tired of the antics of his younger siblings, thinks he should have his own room. Mike allows Greg to turn his den into his own room. This also leads to Greg dressing a whole new way and talking a whole new way, including calling his parents by their first names.

Mike's boss, Mr. Phillips, invites him and his family on a fishing trip on his boat. However when Cindy comes down with tonsillitis, the trip is postponed. Tonsillitis quickly claims another, when Carol also must have her tonsils taken out.

When Bobby gets a set of drums he drives the family up the wall. Meanwhile, Peter is made fun of for being in the glee club by his football teammates.

Tired of being the middle blond girl of the family, Jan tries to alter her appearance by buying a black wig, which she intends to wear to a friend's upcoming birthday party.

Jan and Cindy catch Greg smoking with some friends. This leads to them telling Marcia who in turn tells Mike and Carol.

Jan's practical joking puts Greg's science project, a mouse named Myron, in mortal danger when he gets loose allowing Alice to catch a glimpse of him which leads to her calling the exterminator.

Peter breaks Carol's favorite vase on the eve of a camping trip that he's looking forward to. So in order for him to go on the trip, the other Brady siblings unknowingly each confess.

When Bobby falls from a tree and sprains his ankle, he devolops a fear of heights. This prompts the Brady family to try to cure his fear.

Cindy has become somewhat of a tattletale leading Alice to get in a fight with Sam and the other siblings leaving her out of their activities.

Clark Tyson, a boy that Jan has a crush on, likes older girls, especially Marcia. This leads Jan to make up an imaginary boyfriend, George Glass.

A bully named Buddy Hinton has been making fun of Cindy's lisp. So in order to defend her, Peter tries to learn how to defend himself.

While playing football in a vacant lot with Greg and Peter, Bobby discovers a wallet containing $1,100. When the girls learn about the boys' coup, they decide they want a cut of the money; this leads to yet another fight in the Brady household.

Greg gets his first job as an office boy at Mike's architectural firm. However, he places his job in jeopardy when he carelessly loses some important designs.

Marcia has a crush on a boy who doesn't even know she's alive, at least not until she studies up on his favorite hobby, insect collecting.

Greg's history project is a home movie about the pilgrims with the rest of the Bradys clan as the cast. However, soon the other Bradys take over and pretty soon Greg loses control of his project.

Mike and Carol agree to allow Marcia to have a slumber party and the boys are thrilled because then they'll be able to play tricks on everyone. Then when Marcia gets into trouble at school, the slumber party is canceled.

Mike and Carol decide to allow Greg and Marcia babysit for the younger Bradys one evening when they go out for the evening and Alice is out with Sam.

Don Drysdale's tips for Greg on his baseball playing go to his head. Which leads to Greg deciding to not go to college and he even starts to think about dropping out of high school.

While shopping at Driscoll's Toy Store, Peter looks up to see a wall about to fall on a little girl. He quickly pushes her out of the way. This leads to immediate media attention and Peter is named a hero. However, Peter lets all the attention go to his head, annoying his friends and his brothers and sisters.

Marcia is distraught after getting braces and becomes convinced she's ugly. This compounds when her boyfriend Alan breaks their upcoming date, thinking it's due to her braces. Meanwhile, the Brady kids try their best to make Marcia not feel so self-conscious but with little success.

Carol is out of town visiting her sick Aunt Mary and Alice is all prepared to take care of the Brady home. However, she sprains her ankle, after tripping on Chinese checkers, putting Mike and the kids in charge of the household duties. Meanwhile, her boyfriend Sam finds himself in a dilemma over whether or not to take someone else to the upcoming Meatcutters Ball.

One afternoon, Bobby briefly leaves Tiger unattended and returns to find him missing. Soon a city wide search is on. Meanwhile, a string of burglaries in the neighborhood has Alice paranoid. Could the robbers have lured Tiger away in order to rob the Brady house?

When Greg begins constant daydreaming and his grades start to drop the Brady's quickly think something is wrong. They soon deduce he has puppy love, for a certain girl named Linda. However, they are having an incredibly hard time finding the right Linda but soon the Bradys quickly learn just who this Linda is.

The day after Carol reads Mike's horoscope, which states "a strange woman will enter your life tomorrow," Beebe Gallini enters Mike's office and proves to be a most difficult client. Soon, Mike finds himself spending more time at the office than at home with Carol and the kids.

The Brady family learns that a trading stamp company is going out of business. A fight breaks out over who should get all of the saved stamps, the boys or the girls. If the girls get them, they'll buy a sewing machine and if the boys get them, they'll by a rowboat.

Marcia enters Mike in a "Father of the Year" contest through the newspaper. However, in order to do this she's had to sneak around. When Mike catches her and she's unable to explain, he grounds her from the family ski trip.

Peter comes home from school with the measles, so naturally, Carol calls the doctor, her doctor, who happens to be a woman. Meanwhile, Mike calls his doctor, a man. Soon all the kids come down with the measles and the household is in an uproar in yet another battle of the sexes, as the girls want a female doctor and the boys want a male doctor.

Carol is to sing in church on Christmas, but days before the event, she loses her voice. Later at the mall, a hopeful Cindy asks a Santa Claus to bring Carol's voice back by Christmas. Meanwhile, Alice and the kids find it a difficult task hiding Christmas gifts in the house.

Both Greg and Marcia rush home after school with the news that they're both running for student body president. May the best candidate win, as the boys and girls each take sides and soon each one of them is accusing the other of sabotage.

After watching "Cinderella" on TV, Bobby becomes concerned about stepmothers—especially since Carol asks him to sweep out the fireplace. Soon after, feeling worthless, Bobby decides to run away.

With nine people in the house, Mike gets frustrated when he can never get any time on the phone for himself. He decides to install a second phone line, but that only makes the problem worse. Thanks to one of Alice's ideas, Mike decides to install a pay phone in the family room.

Mike and Carol prepare for a family camping trip. However, the boys are not thrilled that the girls will be coming along. Meanwhile, the girls aren't exactly thrilled about sleeping in the wilderness. Later on the trip, things go awry when the girls mess up the boys fishing plans and freak out when they hear owl hoots.

When Cindy's doll, Kitty Karry-All turns up missing, she accuses Bobby. This leads to a mock trial with Alice as the judge to determine Bobby's guilt or innocence. Then later Bobby's kazoo turns up missing and he blames Cindy.

With more and more of the girls belongings being moved over from storage, the boys become fed up and take to their 'No Girls Allowed' clubhouse in the backyard which sparks the first of many battles between the sexes. This leads the girls to try to build their own clubhouse.

Jan comes down with a mysterious allergy and Carol and Alice try to determine just what is causing it. They deduce that the cause is Tiger, the family dog. Or is it?

No longer feeling needed around the Brady household, Alice makes up a story about an ailing aunt in Seattle in order to leave. Later the family finds out the truth and put "Operation Alice" in effect in an attempt to make her stay.

Cindy has been cast as the fairy princess in the school play. She's excited that her mom and new dad will be able to see her in the production until she learns she can only invite one parent. Torn between who she should choose, Cindy fakes an injury to get out of being in the play.

An article in an advice column, Dear Libby, draws Marcia's attention. In the article, an anonymous person is in the same situation as Mike and Carol is in and this particular person is unhappy. This leads Marcia to draw the conclusion that Mike or Carol wrote the letter. She later shows the article to the other kids and they devise a plot to keep their newly formed family together.

In the series opener, Mike Brady, a widower with three boys, marries Carol Martin, a widow with three girls. Just as the minister says "I do" the boy's dog, Tiger gets loose and chases the girl's cat through the wedding party. Chaos breaks loose which prompts Carol and Mike to yell at their kids to control their pets. Guilt over yelling at their kids comes into play later during Mike and Carol's honeymoon.
