Justin expresses his feelings for Nicki but doesn't get the reaction he expected. Danny tries to help but realizes his advice is wrong. Meanwhile, things get awkward between Burski and Leslie.

Danny discovers that he's "in like" with a girl, Sabrina, for the first time. To guide Danny, Justin, having had success with Nicki, turns cocky and tries to give him advice on how to act. Meanwhile, Brett and the gang mess with Justin so he becomes more comfortable with Brett's sexuality.

Justin and Danny's relationship is put to the test when Nicki reveals she has feelings for Danny. Elsewhere, Leslie insults Detroit not realizing how deeply it would affect Shelly.

When Danny sends Nicki a message on Justin's behalf, it forces Justin out of his comfort zone and into action. Meanwhile, the group questions Danny's role with Justin and in the group.

When confident slacker Danny Burton takes Justin on as a roommate, Danny unwittingly inherits Justin's group of romantically challenged friends. Seeing himself as the ultimate player, Danny decides to teach them everything he knows about "the game of love."

Danny gets mad when Justin plans to set him up with an old high school acquaintance, only to find out that it's Charlotte (Whitney Cummings), a bridesmaid he just hit on from the bachelorette party in the bar. Meanwhile, Brett meets the "gay male friend" at the bachelorette party and sleeps with him, but he later learns the man is the groom.

Jackie (Christa Miller), the older woman to whom Danny lost his virginity when he was 17, is returning to town. While Danny assures his friends that Jackie can no longer control him like she did when he was younger, it quickly becomes clear that she can still get him to do whatever she wants.

The gang all learns that Mike (played by Bianca Kajlich's real-life husband Mike Catherwood) is going to propose to Leslie. Danny is tasked with keeping Leslie distracted, only to hear his sister say she thinks Mike is way more serious about their relationship than she is. Danny then leaks the secret about the ring, making Leslie angry.

Danny and the gang suspect that Candace is getting annoyed with Justin's nonstop romantic gestures, but is afraid to tell him. Danny is able to coax a confession from her while Justin is in costume, listening nearby. Justin worries that Candace no longer likes the "real" him, but advice from Leslie helps save the relationship. In the end, Candace says "I love you" to Justin for the first time, and Justin responds in kind.

In order to help out his mom, Shelly has to quit his job, move out of his place, and temporarily live with Danny and Justin. Justin wants to offer the upstairs loft at the bar to Shelly as a more permanent home, but Danny says Shelly will be too proud to accept charity. Justin makes up a story about the bar being robbed and needing someone there at night, and gets the gang to go along with it. Shelly suspects something is fishy, and he uses his "truth hugs" to extract the real story.

When Danny brings home a girl, Candace's line of questioning alters his plans for the perfect evening. ‎Justin is unwittingly thrust into the middle of their feud and is forced to choose between the two. This week's musical guest is KODALINE.

(Part 2) The gang learns that Burski only landed his current date by pretending to be blind. As Danny did with Justin, Leslie sabotages Burski's relationship by flashing her breasts, which reveals Burski can see just fine. She later apologizes, telling Burski his constant attention to her looks makes her feel good about herself, and that seeing him with another woman made her a bit jealous. Burski insists any woman he is with right now is only practice for the day when he will win Leslie's affection. Meanwhile, Danny sort of apologizes to Justin for breaking up Candace and him, and helps push the two back together.

(Part 1) Justin and Candace announce they are going to start dating. Brett, Leslie and even Burski have significant others now, while Shelly hooks up with an extremely tall woman at the bar. Justin makes fun of Danny being the only member of the group who is now alone. Danny retaliates by suggesting Candace has more to lose if she and Justin break up, because Justin will still have all his friends. This causes Candace to back away from Justin and rethink their situation.

Meet with the Boss. Check. Make friends with the writers. Check. Get into the Warner Brother’s lot, even though you’re on the show and that shouldn’t be an obstacle. Check. Get advice from the boss’ favorite actor. Check. It’s going to be a good day. Now that Rick has learned all the writer’s names, has accepted that Bridgit (seventh lead, no matter what anyone says) has taken his parking spot and has his confidence back, all there is left to do is to implement Zach Braff’s advice — write for himself. And, anything less than the perfect joke just won’t do. Fortunately…

Rick meets with Zach Braff (first lead of “Scrubs”). They talk about working with Bill Lawrence (“Undateable” Showrunner/Creator of “Scrubs”), Braff advises Rick on how to get more lines (tiny hands and catchphrases, for example), and they discuss Rick’s audition for “Going in Style” (new movie Braff directed, starring Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine and Alan Arkin) and how he had to audition via Skype…which, come on! He would have flown to NY for the call back! Ultimately, Braff reinforces the idea that Rick needs to write for himself; to come up with the perfect joke.

When Rick pulls up to the security gate at Warner Brother’s studios, the security guard doesn’t recognize him. Rick is questioned about his role on the show, whether or not his name is actually Rick Glassman, and is even given notes by the security guard on how to deliver “boobie” jokes . SPOILER ALERT: the key is to add some physicality to it. #BaBaBoobies

Taking the advice of his boss, Bill Lawrence, Rick decides to befriend Mike; one of the writers on “Undateable.” How does he do this? Easy — with a friend-montage. Does it work? Well, you’ll have to watch to find out! Or, ask someone else who watched it. They may tell you.

Rick Glassman (the sixth lead) meets with Bill Lawrence (Showrunner & head writer) to talk about getting more jokes on the show. He even has a few ideas of his own like: sleep-acting, incorporating a little Jewishness (but not too much) and how he looks like Wolverine. Bill gives Rick some tangible advice on how to get more lines on the show.

When a music festival comes to Detroit, Danny and Justin both try to win over a beautiful backup singer they met in the bar. As Danny tries to give Justin the chance to get the girl, he can't help but compete for her attention. Meanwhile, the gang does their best to keep Candace from going back to her old boyfriend.
