Virtues of Harmony

LO and MEI treat other people’s son as their own son, TE suggests to bring HUAN and HEI to see them secretly. LO and MEI are glad to see their sons. CHI arrives and witnesses the scene. She is so moved. CHI understands LO and MEI’s love towards their sons. She agrees to concede and arrange to take care HUAN and HEI alternatively.

LO and MEI meet CHI on the street. When they are discussion how to apologize to CHI, FU keeps CHI away from them. They blame FU who obstruct parent and son reunion. FU rebukes them. LO and MEI begs GAY to bring them to see their son outside the palace. GAY promises. Unfortunately, FU sees GAY. He forces GAY to swear not to bring HUAN and HEI to see LO and MEI. LO and MEI wait for GAY at the Missing Son Pavilion for a long time. However, GAY does not show up. They are so heart-broken that even the signboard of the Missing Son Pavilion broke into two pieces and hits them.

SASA shows the “Not” tips bag and claims that the worst will be over soon. She slanders LO and MEI. The palace servants devise to match-make BILL and PAK. PAK eavesdrops at their plan and is glad. SASA knows everything and decides to grant BILL marrying PAK. BILL suffers a great blow. The palace servants are happy for PAK. SASA asks PAK to pick one from some pictures featuring old men. Otherwise, she cannot marry BILL.

LO and MEI miss their sons a lot. They ask BILL to bring some sweets to their son to test the water. HONG and FU see BILL. They try to stop BILL to talk to CHI. They even keep HUAN and HEI away from them. BILL retreats. SASA gets a tips-bag from SIN featuring the character “Not”. She thought that it was an omen sign. She passes the tips-bag to LO and MEI who have just arrived. She even claims that they are the abandoned one. SIN points out that there is another meaning for the character “Not”. It means that every cloud has a silver lining. SASA is enlightened.

In fact, this woman is the mamasan who intends to force LO to become a prostitute. LO shouts for help. MEI delivers some pork to the brothel and hears LO’s scream. She rescues LO. SASA visits YUI and finds a pair of lady’s shoes. She throws away the shoes and hits YUI. SASA thinks that YUI is so exhausted that she forces him to sit on the wheelchair. SASA even brings YUI sight-seeing.

CHI blames YUI why he wrote the divorce letter. PRINCESS recognizes that it was SASA’s handwriting. SASA lies that it was YU who asked her to help after drunk. YUI sighs that it is fate. MEI is out of her mind as she misses HEI very much. CHUEN and KAO propose MEI to return to the palace. CHI arrives. CHUEN and KAO immediately give CHI face and require compensation so as to let MEI back to the palace. In fact, CHI only wants to lend MEI’s silk scarf to cure HEI’s mother sick. MEI is very disappointed. LO is starved that she faints. A woman gives her a big mean and she is even willing to pay her one hundred taels to employ her.

YUI is in coma. TONG recalls what she witnessed. SASA rebukes LO and Mei who have murdered their husband. LO and MEI try to defend but YUI stops them and even drive them away.

LO and MEI make YUI lose face. CHI scolds them and blames YUI who do not manage his wives well. All three are being punished. SASA draws a “harmonious lot” from SIN. She gives this lot to YUI and claims that it could help to bring his family harmony. YUI believes in SASA’s words. YUI lives at the reading room temporarily. He turns a cold shoulder to LO and MEI and even scolds them. LO and MEI immediately pretend that they have reconciled. LO and MEI quarrel again as they claimed that each other has bought one’s beloved stuff. YUI then knows that they have not yet reconciled. LO, MEI and YUI imitate the character of the White Snake Legend. TONG misunderstands that LO and MEI again maltreats YUI. When LO and MEI left, somebody push YUI down to the pond.

CHI cooks a big meal with the intention to mediate between LO and MEI. However, they still pinpoint at each other’s fault. SASA excuses to learn medical theory and forces the Palace Doctor to arrange YUI to be her teacher so as to get close to YUI. The Palace Doctor holds a banquet. YUI attends with his two wives. SASA proposes to hold the three-legged race during the banquet. SASA sets up to make LO and MEI embarrassed.

LO and MEI force YUI to keep fit. SASA thinks that they are maltreating their husband. She swears to save her loved one. LO and MEI tell each other their “keep-fit” secret and mutually agree that they will not tell other people their secret. SASA eavesdrops at their conversation and unveils their secrets. It lead to a big quarrel between LO and MEI.

SIN thanks GAY by giving her a tips-bag. However, there is only a piece of blank paper inside the tips-bag. GAY thinks of it seriously and learns that it means “the fairy is going to give her a baby”. GAY tells the Palace Doctor her symptoms and strongly believes that she is pregnant. All are glad for GAY. GAY falls down in the street and goes to see doctor. She eventually learns that it is just a misunderstanding.

YEK has disappeared when they are visiting the lake. All search for him. SASA finds YEK at the Kwun-Yin Temple. YEK has lost his way nearby the temple. SASA witnesses the scene that YUI is comforting YEK. SASA tells YUI her likeliness towards YEK. GAY warns SASA not to thinks too much about YEK.

GAY prays for YEK and falls into a trap. The swindler cheats her two hundred taels and some jewelry. GAY forces YEK to drink the spell water soon after YEK has eaten a lot of laichee. YEK then suffers from nose bleeding and a sour throat. They learn that YEK wants to talk to LAW. They then go everywhere to search for LAW.

SASA says farewell to DAVID. She learns that the travelling time from Scotland to China requires three to ten years and the procedure for a marriage proposal requires DAVID to back and fro Scotland and China for two to three times. SASA fears that she die before she can get married. She thinks of a way and asks DAVID to return to Scotland as soon as possible. SASA wants to have a very slim waist as the westerners do. She asks YEK to help but she makes YEK faint instead. YEK does not say a word after woke up. He makes use of his body language to express himself. They try their best to make YEK speak but is in vain. They worry a lot for him. SASA’s good friend who has married to Korea tells SASA her grievance and torture. She needs to walk for seven years to return to her country. She advises SASA not to marry to a foreigner. SASA is very scared.

SASA listens to what HAP said and goes to see the fortune-teller, SIN. SIN reminds that she will be single for the rest of her life if she does not get married this year. He even gives SASA a tips-bag with a word “foreign”. The concubine’s brother advises DAVID to change SASA’s picture. Concubine then makes up a story and makes SASA think that the British Emperor has picked her. SASA recalls her tips-bag and believes that she should to marry the British Emperor.

LO quarrels with her husband. LO drives YUI out of their room. MEI worries that LO will misunderstand her and thus she also did not allow YUI to stay in her room. YUI is locked up at the kitchen. The next day they find a scarf in the kitchen. They swear to find out who is the mistress.

YUEN and TI are shocked to learn that they have had an affair the next morning. PRINCESS sees that YUEN is out of his mind. She decides match make them. All oppose PRINCESS to match make YUEN and TI. YUEN brings presents for a betrothal to CHUEN. CHUEN drives YUEN away. Despite TI states that they really love each other, CHUEN locks her up in a room.

Apart, MEI is shocked when she realizes that PAK is obsessed to BILL. Though BILL declines the love of PAK, PAK does not give up and approaches KUE instead. Unfortunately, the true characters of PAK are hard to change…. YUEN by chance sees BON’s real face. However, she sees that BON and TI love each other deeply and she does not disclose the truth. On the wedding day, BON has disappeared. TI suffers a great blow and disappears. YUEN finds TI in a temple. TI tells YUEN her sorrow. YUEN cannot control himself and they ……

PAK surprises her colleagues because she changes a lot after meeting BILL. Due to superstition, the Queen drives PAK to work for family KIM and lives in ‘Ka Yan’ palace. Family KIM has a hard time to live with PAK; but there is a validity of the service of PAK.

LO and other girls are about to face a harsh penalty. Fortunately, the KING forgives them because of YEK. On the other hand, PAK still single because of her unattractive appearance and personality. Therefore, she often vents her temper on other maids and shows off her superior status of being the maid of the Queen. As she always makes use of her identity to take advantage, nobody likes her. PAK scares away all the fortunetellers though she is eager to get a deviation on her marriage except SIN. Despite the bad temper of PAK, SIN is able to make her content by telling that her fiance would be a hero. Later, PAK finds her dream man, BILL.

YEK makes her clothes dirty while she plays flute; she then misunderstands the definition of clean and dirt and washes away the confidential documents of HONG. Furthermore, YEK by luck wins in the mahjong game; however, LO refuses to pay the money trickily. Although CHI reiterates LO and other girls to take care of YEK, they take her words lightheartedly. YEK is missing when they go out to help the KING to purchase the lottery. But they do not realize until CHI meets them while they are shopping crazily. They look for YEK anxiously and forget to purchase the lottery for the KING. Coincidentally, the KING wins the game this time.

YEK suffers from amnesia due to a shock. The imperial doctor has no medicine for curing the amnesia at that time; hence, the mental ability of YEK has to stay as a child temporarily. On the other hand, KWOK KAU often vents his anger on the ex-queen. Meanwhile, the Queen by accident discovers YEK had dropped an earring at the forbidden place. The Queen is afraid that YEK will disclose her evil act when she recovered from amnesia. Hence, she sends KWOK KAU to investigate and gets rid of her. Despite YEK takes the most precious medicines, her mental illness remains. Unexpectedly, she manages to deal with KWOK KAU because of her madness.

YEK and CHI quarrel and YEK denies all the effort of her mother, CHI. YEK disappoints everyone. On the other hand, KWOK KAU advises the Queen to pay more attention on the KING in order to protect her status. Apart, CHI draws a will, which gives YEK the biggest amount of her legacy. Ironically, YEK does not appreciate and quarrels with CHI again. Despite the persuasion of HONG, YEK insists her point of view and refuses to apologize. On the other hand, the Princess finds out the truth from TONG about the illness of the Queen. She tells YEK at once and encourages her to settle the dispute with CHI right away. YEK regrets for the misunderstandings and tends to deliver her apology through a parrot. She accidentally enters the forbidden place and……

YEK makes a test on the Queen when she realizes that the Queen is allergy to pomegranate. But this time, she makes a big mistake and jeopardizes the Queen’s live unexpectedly. When CHI discovers the accident, she tries to cover up for YEK immediately. She obeys the order of KWOK KAU and cuts herself to make medicine for the Queen. Nevertheless, she begs the KING to forgive YEK and keeps a secret. Due to the wounds, CHI refuses to eat seafood cook by YEK; hence, makes YEK unhappy. CHI takes the chance to rebuke YEK for causing the Queen sick; however, YEK fails to recognize her fault and scolds CHI instead.

YEK purchases a scary celery doll and treats her like her own baby. Everyone begins to query and finds out that YEK was lacking of mother care when she was small. Nevertheless, she lost a doll due to the carelessness of CHI; hence, her mental feeling is hurt. CHI tends to compensate YEK and asks LO to scarify her doll for YEK. However, YEK takes advantage on their leniency instead. LO and other girls are not allowed to disturb YEK and has to find other place for playing mahjong. At the same time, YEK overhears their conversation and, find out their weakness accidentally; hence, she intends to make fun on them……

KWOK KAU and the girls coach YUI and HONG harshly in order to win the game. Meanwhile, CHUEN takes the chance to raise fund for himself and, SASA forbids LO and other girls to post slogan. Furthermore, SASA dances for the KING in order to obtain his appreciation and goodwill. Unfortunately, she dances awfully and makes joke of herself instead. CHI finds the applicants overexcited and the game has driven them crazy; thus, advices the KING to call off the football game. Finally, the game is cancelled and KWOK KAU loses a huge amount in the loss. On the other hand, SASA proposes another game instead…...

LO quarrels with other girls while playing mahjong and makes their husbands involve in the conflict also. CHI settles their dispute by organizing the football game for them. Unexpectedly, SASA also interests in the game and challenges them for a battle. YEK and other girls lose in the game and ease their anger on SASA instead. The star of SASA becomes gloomy suddenly; hence, CHI suggests the KING to organize a football game for SASA in order to bring in happiness and excitement. Many people support and enroll for the game. And, KWOK KAU is assigned to the team of family KIM. He is eager to be the leader because he notices that many people bet on the royal team instead.

YUEN is upset when DAI asks YUEN as accompany to buy present for BON. Apart, the KING receives a tribute from abroad, which is a lady in bronze. The KING worries to be found out by the Queen; yet, gives away the present to YUI. However, YUI also afraid of his wife; thus, abandons the present instead. The lady feels hungry and finds the food in the royal kitchen. The maids are scared to discover her; while YUEN has a rush for seeing the lady. YUEN tends to cool himself by bathing in cold water; however, there is a fire alarm suddenly. YUEN nearly discloses his real identity in the escape.

DAI is totally attached to BON and always brings him up during conversation. She regards YUEN as her soul mate which hurts YUEN deeply. Since the deviation said that YUEN will have a family and kids in the future, YUEN doubts and feels more upset. CHI buys the statue of Buddha as a gift to MEI and other girls, which they give up because of the high price. LO tends to choose the best one before the delivery arrived. Unfortunately, she crashes with eunuch LING and breaks the statue. Nevertheless, eunuch BO refuses to be LO’s alias to report eunuch LING despite he is at the scene also. LO is furious then. In fact, BO has committed a mistake and failed to complete the surgery for YUEN to be a eunuch. He worries that the truth maybe disclosed one day by the KING and; decides to cover up forever…...

Eunuch BO mentions about the past with YUEN and shares with him a secret. Meanwhile, YUEN often misses DAI at work and makes YUI feels curious. LO and other girls hesitant to try the unbranded cosmetic and forces YUEN to be their experiment mice. Therefore, YUEN tends to give the cosmetic to DAI as present. However, he receives a cold shoulder when he saw DAI walks closely with her boyfriend, BON. On the other hand, LO and other girls begin to feel suspicious when they saw YUEN stands up while pissing. They ask FU to take YUEN to the brothel in order to prove his identity.

CHUEN always uses the name of NIN to get rid of his debts; however, LO discloses his trick and puts him into a rigid situation. CHUEN has to mortgage his house for paying the debts now; meanwhile, he is shocked to discover that the landlord is not CHI. Strange things occur when LO and other girls receive signs of omen. They seek for the advice from SIN and accidentally, they burn his cheque for purchasing the house of CHUEN. Thus, they save CHUEN from selling his house indirectly. Besides, YUEN finds him different from other eunuchs. On day, a restaurant owner bully on YUEN; fortunately, eunuch BO passes by and helps him….

LO is worried about FUN and does not want her to be harmed by KWOK KAU. She seeks for the assistance from YUI; however, family KIM feels dilemma to involve. The deadline has arrived finally; SASA omits in forcing KWOK KAU speaks the cant again. Hence, KWOK KAU gets the vase eventually. Later, KWOK KAU meets SIN again and realizes the meaning of the deviation. In fact, SIN advises KWOK KAU to break the old rules in order to avoid the omen. Therefore, KWOK KAU abandons FUN immediately; however, it is too late because he still loses money at the end. LO is excited to learn the unfortunate of KWOK KAU; but FUN decides to return to the valley because of despair. She reiterates LO to aware of her speech and leaves finally. SIN gets his reward from KWOK KAU and tends to search a suitable place for opening his own shop. Coincidentally, he finds the house of CHUEN…...

When KWOK KAU realizes FUN is divorce, he is inspired and begins to chase after FUN. He sends FUN presents in order to move her. And, other girls begin to curious about the admirer of FUN. On the other hand, SASA tries to make KWOK KAU lose the vase by using the ‘Honest Pill’; she fails and creates embarrass for herself instead. Finally, LO and other girls find out the admirer of FUN is KWOK KAU and strongly oppose their relationship. However, FUN fails to recognize the personalities of KWOK KAU; thus, refuses their kindness. Nevertheless, she rather breaks up with LO and insists to develop the relationship with KWOK KAU. Therefore, LO reckons the account with KWOK KAU but; she receives a luxurious accommodation unexpectedly.

LO plays trick and makes YUI absence from the birthday party of KUE. KUE is discontent; hence, CHI has to compensate her with money. MEI also disagrees with the act of LO and kicks her to ease her anger. On the other hand, eunuch LING beats SIN in order to take revenge for KWOK KAU. SIN offers a deviation, ‘Old’ to KWOK KAU as apology, which helps KWOK KAU to keep away from danger. Therefore, KWOK KAU decides to use old things since then. Apart, FUN is disqualified in a competition due to her divorce; yet, makes LO and other girls fail in the game also. Moreover, FUN by chance saves KWOK KAU from a danger and develops a friendship with him.

KWOK KAU is hurt by SIN while he is avoiding the traps of SASA and, orders eunuch LING to take revenge for him. Moreover, he requires a pigeon menu for settling the dispute. LO rebukes YUI when she returns home with FUN, who just divorce. But they soon realize that there is an accident during the transport of pigeons. CHI invites FUN for dinner; however, the misspoken of KATE makes FUN embarrass. CHUEN and KUE are noisy and tend to follow LO to the palace. Hence, LO has to abandon the idea to take FUN visiting the palace also. On the other hand, the greediness of CHUEN and his wife is obvious; they cheat the tenancy agreement from CHI by faking the birthday of KUE.

TONG has no alternatives but reports MEI for speaking the cant. Thus, KWOK KAU has the right to adjudicate MEI. CHI is anxious to rescue MEI and hurts KWOK KAU accidentally. The KING withdraws his order and cancels the copyright of cant; hence, he owes KWOK KAU a wish. TONG commits suicide because of guilty. Luckily, BILL saves her and helps her to obtain the forgiveness of MEI. Apart, SASA and KWOK KAU fight for a vase and require the KING for justification. Since the KING still owes KWOK KAU a wish, he has to grant certain leniency to KWOK KAU. The KING agrees to give him the vase unless KWOK KAU forgoes the cant and temper. Hence, SASA tries hard to provoke KWOK KAU….

HAY drops his napkin and cries out loudly. Hence, YUI has to pick it up from the toilet despite the stink. Indeed, YUI is a good father and is willing to scarify for his child unlimitedly. SASA pretends sick and tempts YUI with attractive rewards in order to take care of her. The heath condition of YUI is weak; hence, he feels dizzy after drinking a special type of tea. Therefore, SASA tries to kiss him and takes him advantage. Since then, YUI is afraid to drink tea again. On the other hand, KWOK KAU overhears the cant of MEI from a parrot and uses it in a drama. Later, he applies the copyright of the cant from the KING in order to harm MEI.

CHI hurts her angle after curing the wounds of MEI and other girls. MEI and other girls curse KWOK KAU and by chance, discover KWOK KAU disguises as priest and sells the tips of academy Hanlin examination illegally. They come up an idea to disclose the act of KWOK KAU. Meanwhile, CHI is inspired by a dream and seeks for the advice from SIN. She conspires with SIN and succeeds in cheating the handwrite tips from KWOK KAU. Then, they post the tips in town and arises the attention of the KING while he visits the examination hall. Therefore, the KING changes the question immediately and yet, KWOK KAU suffers a great loss for the compensation.

YUI and MEI hear about the tips are on sale in town; hence, they decide to find one for HONG. However, CHI has a different opinion and strongly opposes to their intention. Apart, YEK discovers that HONG is giving away his clothes to YUI and FU; moreover, she has an omen when she meets a lady, who is begging her husband to give up his mind to be a priest. YEK suspects that HONG is preparing to be a priest also; hence, she goes home in a rush.

Many candidates tend to locate the private shop for selling the tips of examination. According to the map, they come to booth which belongs to CHUEN. In order to avoid legal liability, CHUEN designs a self-serve counter for candidates to select their tips. Ironically, CHUEN is not well educated and writes the words wrongly. HONG is busy at work, while study hard at night. He looks awful; hence, the Princess suggests HONG to take leave from his work at academy Hanlin temporarily. However, HONG does not want to give up the opportunity that the KING awarded him and declines the kindness of the Princess. By chance, HONG meets an old cleaning servant, who has in-depth knowledge. He feels interest and begins conversation with him truthfully. He then realizes the high price for forsaking the official rank to take the academy Hanlin examination. HONG begins to feel uncertain for his decision and seeks for the advice from family KIM.… ...

KWOK KAU orders his maids to cool him down with their fans while dancing. He simple fails to concentrate at work due to the hot weather and makes a mistake by throwing away all the soak rice. But when NIN realizes it, he proposes to the KING for making use of the soak rice as ingredient, which could solve the problems in draught region. The KING appreciates his wits and appoints NIN to take up the agricultural department. On the other hand, KWOK KAU is redundant indirectly.

Before the announcement released, YEK is overconfident about the promotion of HONG. She shows her arrogant on the colleague of HONG, MA KUN and his wife by ordering them not to wear colorful clothes. However, MA KUN finds her intolerable and teases her right away. YEK is embarrassed to learn that MA KUN is promoted instead of HONG then. On the other hand, HONG discover an old lady demands a divorce because her husband fails to win at the academy Hanlin after several attempts. HONG feels pity for the couple and swears to study hard for the examination again. YEK notices that there is no brilliant person among the candidates; yet, she is full of confident that HONG will win this time. Unfortunately, the most unexpectedly person from the southern province has the highest talent amongst the candidate, who shocks YEK with his knowledge.

NIN and the Princess finally stay together again; nevertheless, they succeed in forbidding PAK WAN to assault the KING. Actually, PAK WAN tends to take revenge on the KING for the death of his father and elder brother; he has a lot of grieves towards the reigns of the KING due to his laziness. Besides, FU helps MOON TONG to cook the noodles for the KING; unfortunately, he is unable to meet the official lunch hour. MOON TONG forbids FU to reheat the noodles again; thus, helps FU to be recognized by the KING indirectly. The KING finds the cold noodles as a very delicious appetizer and makes FU becoming well-known in palace.

NIN takes care of a handsome man gently in the room and, creates more misunderstandings. Particularly when NIN shares his feelings about Princess with the man, it shows their intimacy. The girls suspect that NIN has fallen in love with man. The Princess stays behind at ‘Ka Yan’ palace by playing mahjong with the girls. In fact, she is waiting for NIN anxiously. MEI and other girls dare to see the Princess being torture and tell her the truth. The Princess is stunned when she learns that NIN has fallen in love with a man. Everyone knows that if the Princess reports to the KING that NIN is having an affair might cause their lives; thus, the girls persuade the Princess to withhold the move. They advise the Princess wisely and prevent her to mention it to the KING. On the other hand, they hope that she could mend the relationship with tenderness.

The relationship becomes tense when Princess forbids NIN to enter her room because NIN disrespects her unintentionally. Moreover, the Princess loses faith in NIN when she realizes that NIN has a secret affair. Despite MEI and other girls prove the personality of NIN, the Princess doubts. At the same time, they discover that NIN enters the most famous brothel in town.

SASA is reluctant to fulfill her promise for washing the feet for Persian Queen; hence, she hides in ‘Mo Lui’ palace temporarily. Unfortunately, she kills a queen bee and attacks by a group of bees. She runs away from ‘Mo Lui’ palace and meets Persian Prince and Queen coincidently. Meanwhile, the KING scares to fulfill his promise and has to shave his beard. He blames SASA for causing the trouble. In fact, Persian Prince is not serious about the bet and has no intention to ask the KING and SASA to commit their promise. However, SASA cannot read his mind and makes the KING very angry. KATE and FU are released and awarded by the KING. Since then, KATE often wins in the mahjong game. Apart, the Princess envies about the gentleness and care that HONG and FU give to their wives. Although she and NIN are well-known as the sweetest couple, she often feels lonely because NIN is too concentrating at work.

KATE makes an excuse to visit NIN in order to investigate the list of suspects that NIN collected. She is shocked to find her name on the list. MEI realizes the reason that KATE flees away suddenly. By making an excuse that FU ill-treats KATE, MEI accommodates KATE at her parent’s house successfully. MEI sends away her parents in order to let FU meets his wife KATE secretly. However, CHUEN notices that something strange is happening and returns home for investigation. He rebukes MEI severely for causing them trouble to accommodate a criminal in his house. Meanwhile, FU is agitated and pulls out a knife against CHUEN.

The Princess fails to reach a compromise with NIN on the repair of her statue. Moreover, the Princess is upset that NIN does not listen and care about her feeling. At the same time, Persian Prince and his wife arrive Mainland China. The KING welcomes their visit by sending a painter to draw a memorable picture for them together with the Princess and NIN. Persian Prince presents the rare black roses to the KING; hence, the KING invites them to view the tuberose. The KING is proud to introduce such extraordinary flower; however, SASA overrates the specialty of the flower and bets their pride on it. Coincidently, tuberose is stolen mysteriously.

SASA takes the advice of KWOK KAU and uses dog blood to harm KATE. However, she estimates wrongly and hurts YEK instead. KWOK KAU suggests SASA to take away the most precious thing of KATE. Hence, SASA decides to flirt at FU. KATE misunderstands that MEI has stolen her underwear and jewelers; yet, breaks the friendship with her.

One day, SASA has a nightmare. She dreams of murdering KATE and deserves a punishment from hell. She doubts after she wakes up. KATE is obsessed by an actor, LAN PO and praises his stance totally. She is keen to obtain his signature as souvenir; but she falls down in the crowd. LAN PO takes care of her and gives his blessing to KATE truly. KATE takes the chance to ask LAN PO to take her as pupil; therefore, LAN PO demonstrates his stance to KATE deliberately. SASA cheats KATE to a draught well and tends to bury her in the well. Unexpectedly, SASA falls into the well instead. SASA thinks that she is in hell when she wakes up and finds KATE sitting aside with her madness look.

The lips of YUEN suffer from infection because he has eaten up all the chili beans; hence, eunuch LING tends to punish him severely. She awards KWOK KAU the soup instead and makes him suffers at the end. YEK and other girls play mahjong at home as usual. Suddenly, KWOK KAU and SASA carry an order to search their house. Eunuch LING has well plan to set them up; thus, SASA finds evidence that they curse on her secretly and make her sick. Moreover, SASA asks Queen MAN to sentence them to death penalty.

However, Queen MAN believes that the KING is an idiot and KWOK KAU should not worry too much. FU is upset because he has no chance to present his talent in making noodle to the KING. He finds out that many chefs hardly meet the KING despite they spend their lives in the palace. In order to have a breakthrough, FU seeks for the assistance of CHI especially CHI is a close friend of the KING recently. However, CHI fails to recognize the intention of FU.

Although FU and others award to take up important roles in the imperial, CHI feels suspicious about the attitude of eunuch LING when he announces the decree. She reiterates them to be careful and respect everyone they meet. YUI presents a snuffbox to the KING and obtains his appreciation eventually; however, he offends KWOK KAU again. SASA sends a luxury cloth to YUI as present. But LO and MEI uses it for clothing instead and offend SASA. FU, YUI and HONG win the lottery game in palace and find their interest again. They find the lottery game is much easier than in Resonance Town and win a lot of money. And they have no idea that they offend the Minister, MAN KWOK KAU already.

Family KIM is full of excitement of their new lives in palace. Unfortunately, Princess SUM TIN fails to read their minds and decorates ‘Ka Yan’ Palace into their previous house; nevertheless, she makes the new furniture to look worn out deliberately. Everyone is disappointed and blames the carelessness of Princess SUM TIN. Meanwhile, Eunuch BO brings them luxury clothes for the wedding ceremony of NIN and the Princess. As Princess SUM TIN does not want to part with family KIM, she decides to scarify her status and returns to Resonance Town with NIN. However, the King cannot withstand Princess SUM TIN suffers from poverty and; agrees to move family KIM into palace. He builds a palace for them and named as ‘Ka Yan’ Palace. Family KIM is excited to move in the palace then. CHI accommodates Eunuch LING and Eunuch BO. But family KIM insists the Princess to find justice for them and reckons the account with Eunuch LING. With the help of Eunuch BO, Eunuch LING obtains the leniency of Princess at last. Although Eunuch LING shows thankful, he suppresses his grief inside and swears to take revenge on them upon their arrival to palace.

Persian Prince brings along a lot of treasure to propose marrying Princess SUM TIN. The King is exited for the power that he gains from the marriage. Suddenly, NIN bursts into the palace and proposes marrying Princess SUM TIN.

In palace, the King worries about the wedding ceremony between Princess SUM TIN and Persian Prince, which is approaching. Eunuch LING tends to thank HONG with a kiss for buying him the right compact powder. Suddenly, YEK shows up and forbids him to take advantage on HONG. LING is angry and quarrels with YEK. Though LING fails to argue with YEK, he resumes from conscious when YEK hits him. Eunuch LING gets rid of YEUNG YEUNG and poisons family KIM with persimmon. He then takes away SUM TIN and prosecutes family KIM for kidnapping the princess. Finally, the identity of SUM TIN is disclosed and everyone is shock.

DAI follows NIN to search for the bank notes and is bite by a snake accidentally. SAU rescues DAI bravely and moves her heart unexpectedly. They chat along the way home happily; while BILL is aware of their intimacy also. Debtors threat to take away the furniture of family KIM; fortunately, CHUEN takes out his knife to drive them away. SO makes use of every chance to earn money from family KIM; however, CHI fails to recognize her personality. Nevertheless, she assigns maid MUI to serve SO and accompanies her for shopping. By chance, they meet KUE on the street and KUE tries to take advantage on MUI immediately. SO is discontent with the attitude of KUE and liaisons with KUE on the behalf of MUI. TIN SHUM is reluctant to marry the Persian Prince and refuses to return to the palace. NIN dares to see TIN SHUM no place to leave; therefore, he asks DAI to take care of TIN SHUM temporarily. CHUEN and KUE do not realize the incident and welcome TIN SHUM generously. They tend to ask for money from family KIM in return; hence, accommodate TIN SHUM and YUEN decently. On the other hand, CHI invites SO for dinner and confirms her identity at last. Unfortunately, SO has another plan; she conspires with her boyfriend, MUN HING in order to cheat money from family KIM. The next day, the girls of family KIM discover a loss on their jewels respectively and suspect TIN SHUM.

The name of this lady is called SO and her father helped CHI once upon a time. SO admits her lies and tells CHI about her real name is called TIN SHUM. Since she offends the members of family KIM, TIN SHUM is being isolated and no longer welcome in the house. She leaves family KIM sadly with YUEN together.

SO is ill and cannot attend the floral exhibition. Therefore, CHI requests to postpone the visit to floral exhibition and makes other family members discontent. They vent their anger on SO deliberately. NIN feels pity for SO; however, he cannot protect her directly. He works hard in order to forget the unhappiness. One day SO meets a poor lady on the street and takes her home. The lady is attracted by the luxury of the house and begins to steal. CHI captures her immediately and finds out a threatening truth.

HONG is absentminded; thus, SO takes HONG for outing and helps him refresh. They meet eunuch LING on the way while eunuch LING agrees to take HONG as his pupil. HONG is interest about the martial art and follows eunuch LING daily. YEK has no idea about the case and blames SO because of jealousy. Moreover, YUI gives the precious pearl powder to SO as present, who offends LO and MEI immediately. SO becomes a victim and boycott by other girls in the family.

KUE falls into the trap of aunt HOI and changes a wrong napkin for FUNE FUNE. The napkin is soaking with chili; thus, makes FUNE FUNE allergy and cries loudly. LO brings the case on court and KUE receives a harsh punishment.

Family KIM organizes a dinner to celebrate the birthday of FUNE FUNE and HAY HAY. CHUEN and KUE take advantage on the occasion and gain a lot of money and presents. LO is discontent and requests YUI to pay for her loss. CHI realizes the greediness of CHUEN and KUE and the dilemma of YUI; hence, compensates LO personally. YIM does not get the announcement; therefore, she suspects YUI has bribed CHUEN to discontinue her order when she sees them having money transaction. She picks up a wooden stick and hits YUI for taking revenge on him. In ciao, cashier CHIN hurts YUI and makes him suffering from amnesia. Unfortunately, YUI cannot withstand the temptation of pork also and begins to order food at the restaurant. YIM discovers his identity and humiliates him at once.

FU fears that YIM is attached to him too deeply because YIM treats him extraordinary well in the restaurant after they had a kiss. Moreover, YIM seeks the advice from KATE for the method to serve a husband. Hence, every family member thinks hard to find a solution to help FU and makes him to be jerk.

One day, FU crashes with a stranger in the street, who gives him a note. Later, he finds that this stranger is familiar with the lottery organizer, who gives the stranger a note as well. FU believes that the note is related to the answer of the lottery; hence, he bets all his savings on it, so that he can resign from Tung Mud Yuen. He then puts the lottery ticket in a biscuit box; however, KATE gives away the biscuit to a beggar. FU thinks that he loses a chance and blames KATE for her carelessness. When the lottery result is announced, FU realizes that he has misunderstood KATE.

Just when WAH farewells FLAMINGO at the pier, FU addresses FLAMINGO as his sister; thus, changes the mind of WAH. He takes out his courage and proposes marrying FLAMINGO at last. And since then, FLAMINGO changes her name to CHI. WONG is in great debts. CHI discovers and smashes on him harshly. Moreover, she says that she can rebuke WONG with tangible reason. But when other family members overhear, they guesses that WONG is the bastard of CHI. One day, YIM has a traffic accident and falls on CHI unintentionally. Nevertheless, they kiss each other by accident also.

Finally, FLAMINGO fulfills her promise to protect WAH and the babies in returning their village. However, FLAMINGO misses them very much after parted. She makes an excuse to collect the flags and finds WAH again. When they return to their house, WAH is shocked to discover that his house is burnt into ashes in a fire accident. He loses everything now and becomes a hawker. He makes noodles in order to take up the family burden. Meanwhile, FLAMINGO helps him to drive away the gangs. Their standard of living is improved after awhile; hence, FLAMINGO has no excuse to stay further.

At first, the impression that FLAMINGO gives WAH is bad and; WAH has no interest on her at all and scares to increase his burden instead. He leaves a message to Flamingo and runs away secretly at midnight. Flamingo is furious for WAH declines her kindness. Meanwhile, WAH checks in a strange motel and has danger. Though FLAMINGO arrives in time, the owners of the motel, FUNG CHUN SAM KWAI, threatens her with the lives of the 3 babies; hence, FLAMINGO surrenders eventually. Afterwards, when SAM KWAI discovers that the babies are wearing the three commander flags of FLAMINGO’s father, they knee down to beg for forgiveness at once. Nevertheless, they set free FLAMINGO and WAH also.

SHAN finds out that NAM has a terminal disease, so he looks everywhere for her. Meanwhile, the KIMs try every way to destroy SHAN and VIVIAN’s wedding. SHAN dresses up as a monk to wait in a temple for NAM to show up to visit her late parents. When she does, he asks to be with her until the end of her life. They walk along the beach and talk about the past. NAM’s scarf is blown away. SHAN worries that it is the sign indicates that NAM is dying.

The KIMs visit SZE MAN’s grave. TODAY takes the chance to scold SHAN for being ungrateful. NAM prepares some information on wedding for SHAN. TODAY praises her greatness. VIVIAN and her brother TO dine with the KIMs. GUCCI praises TO’s personality. TO replies her that he is very easy going, but he will not allow anyone to bully his younger sister. SHAN distributes his wedding invitation cards in Ka Yan and ends up having an argument with NAM. He finds out that NAM has ordered a coffin, which he thinks that she is playing a joke on him on his wedding day. Later, he is shocked to find her name on the tablet.

SHAN and NAM turn their back to each other. GUCCI tries to test NAM’s feeling for SHAN by setting up a road side funeral for him, but fails. TODAY and NG SAU have returned from the mainland after a filming trip. KELLY suggests having a dinner out. TODAY advises NAM to tell SHAN the truth, but she insists her to keep it a secret. The KIMs talk about SHAN’s new girlfriend. NAM thinks that they are playing a trick on her. Meanwhile, SHAN and his girlfriend VIVIAN appear. He introduces her to everyone as his fiancee, which shocks NAM.

MO tries to sell his company. SHAN is interested, but MO turns him down. SHAN is not satisfied with NAM’s proposal, so she holds her anger and modifies it again. SHAN offers NAM $4 millions to break her engagement with MO, which she accepts. SHAN scolds her for being materialistic. He also thanks her for abandoning him before, which has stimulated him to work hard. NAM swears that they are not friends anymore.

GUCCI mentions about SHAN. NAM doesn’t reply. ROGER has a big contract, but the client insists that NAM to meet him. It turns out that SHAN is the client. He sought for opportunities in the South America and has become the director of a company. He deliberately gives NAM a hard time and demands to have the proposal by the next day. MO comes to Ka Yan to pick up NAM. He tells SHAN that he will marry NAM, which shocks him. SHAN turns down GUCCI’s proposal on opening a restaurant in South America. He goes on and humiliates the Honey Cave, which outrages GUCCI so much that she swears not to see him again.

NG SAU tries to locate his colleague “Prop CHAN”, wishing that he will pay him back. NAM tries to take him home, but fails. GUCCI passes by and manages to convince him to go home. BOON YAT SIN says that GUCCI and SAU have a relationship for seven lives. NAM wants to pull them together after hearing that. MO proposes to NAM with a diamond ring, which is worth $3 millions. She agrees to marry him for SAU’s future. She and MO play golf. She finds out that MO is pursuing her for a bet with his friends.

NAM suddenly remembers that she is nearly 28, so she asks TODAY out and hands her all her stock shares. TODAY laughs at her, saying that it looks like she is preparing for her death. SZE MO tries to talk to NAM in a pub, but she ignores him. He has a bet of $300,000 with his friends that he will get NAM. NG SAU is cheated $3 millions by his colleagues. NAM worries for his future, so she buys lots of mark six tickets. None of them wins. NAM sees SUGAR looking for a new owner for her dog, so she decides to look for a woman for SAU, too.

GUCCI destroys the presents that SUEN has given her before. She insists not to be his girlfriend. SUEN chases after her. She demands that he leaves the organization. She overhears his phone conversation and knows that he has not left it. When she confronts him about it, she finds out that everything is just a misunderstanding. He looks for her to have a chat. The KIMs think that he is going to reveal his feelings to her. However, it turns out that everything is only GUCCI’s fantasy.

Some triads show up at where TODAY and GEORGE are filming. SUEN appears to settle the event. The news reports that the police are fighting against some triad organizations. One of the master minds has been caught. One is dead and one has escaped. GUCCI passes by a funeral parlor the next day and SUEN is there for the deceased, who is none other than the master mind. She dreams of having a wedding in a church with SUEN when Police Inspector WONG suddenly appears. WONG finds some criminal evidence on him. She is woken up by her dream. The nest day, she tells SUEN that she doesn’t want to be connected to him. He tries to explain, but she will not listen.

The man is called UNCLE SUEN. He notices that GUCCI has a backache, so he teaches her tai chi and she teaches him dancing in return. He also helps her to take care of her grandsons. She falls for his manhood. HELENA has joined the “Greatest Mother” competition. The KIMs nominate GUCCI to join. She dreams of being awarded the honor of a chaste widowed woman. However, SUEN suddenly appears and makes her lose the honor. GUCCI avoids him the next day. He visits her at her flat. Meanwhile, the KIMs come back. She is pushing him into her room when his cell phone rings. The others therefore mistakes that there is a thief. The next day, the KIMs tell her in the Honey Cave that they don’t mind her getting married again.

GUCCI wants to have a family gathering, but the KIMs have already had their own plans. LAU KAM swears that he will find GUCCI a partner. He finds out that she likes someone like kungfu master WONG, who likes to help people. A customer smokes in the Honey Cave. GUCCI fails to tell him off. While they are arguing, a man suddenly comes up and kicks the smoker out of the restaurant. The next day, GUCCI falls down when she is delivering some takeaway. The same man appears to help her again. He leaves her with his jacket and a good impression.

SARAH finds her egg tarts are stolen. Everyone thinks that TAI TSUN and HELENA did it. The next day, the thief shows up again. MARCO fails to catch him, but GUCCI does. A neighbor, UNCLE CHOI, says that MARCO and TODAY don’t inherit any of GUCCI’s smartness. LAU KAM points out that it might have skipped a generation. KELLY decides that her sons should become lawyers or doctors. The others ask FOON and HEI to decide their future. The babies pick up a cross and a Buddhist necklace among other things, an implication that they want to become a monk or a priest when they grow up.

GUCCI and the others decide to help LAU KAM to get KITTY back. He plays the piano for her, but is found out playing a tape. She is very annoyed by his lack of sincere. She agrees to get back to him if he wins a competition in there days’ time. However, he joins many competitions and loses each one of them. KITTY decides to meet with PAUL’s parents in the States. LAU KAM knows that she will meet PAUL in the airport, so he asks LAM SIN to take him there. Coincidentally, a marathon is held on the highway and the road is blocked. He gets off the car and runs. He wins the race eventually.

LAU KAM tries to visit KITTY, but is sent home. He dresses up to go to work and pretends that he has a date. He also arranges a beautiful extra to be his girlfriend, but his plan fails. He asks a good friend to investigate PAUL and finds that PAUL is better than him in any way. He decides to frame him by putting some pornographic materials in his suit jacket. Unfortunately, he cocks it up and embarrasses himself instead.

LAU KAM has BOON YAT SIN’s consent to try to trick KITTY to agree on having a child with him, but their plot fails. She threatens to leave him. KITTY dresses up elegantly to go to work. KELLY says that she might have met someone else. LAU KAM believes that KITTY is only doing that to annoy him. The KIMs are having a meal in a high class restaurant. They bump into KITTY and PAUL, who is a lawyer. LAU KAM speaks sarcastically, but ends up being humiliated. The others ask KITTY to forgive LAU KAM, but KITTY tells them that she and PAUL are in love and that they plan to get married soon. The news hits LAU KAM really hard.

KITTY tells LAU KAM that she is too old to have a baby, much to his delight. He has lots of grey hair and is laughed at being old. The others say that he will live alone, but he replies that he has KITTY. He has a fever. The KIMs are too busy to take him to the doctor’s, so he goes alone and has an accidental fall. He is admitted to the hospital. An old man stays next to him tells him how glad he is to have a son to take care of him in his old age. LAU KAM is convinced by him to start up a family. He proposes to KITTY. She agrees to marry him but is not prepared to have a child with him.

MARCO and KELLY have to meet a client, so they ask KITTY to take care of the babies. LAU KAM tells them how careless KITTY is normally. They are so scared and run straight home. Surprisingly, they find that KITTY is taking very good care of the babies. KITTY and LAU KAM take some wedding photos. She takes the chance to force him to marry her earlier, but fails. He has a car accident, which worries her a lot. He tries to trick her to give up the idea of having a baby. She goes to pray for him. BOON YAT SIN tells her that LAU KAM can only get married but not have a child. Otherwise, he might die.

The KIMs receive a call from a woman saying that she can send the baby home if they pay her. They bring money to meet her in a restaurant and find out the baby is not FOON. It turns out that LAM SIN and KEI SUM have taken FOON out. They return him to the Honey Cave. BOON YAT SIN points out that GUCCI brings bad luck to her grandchildren. She finds bruises and cuts on them when she gets home. She is so worried that she has to leave home. The KIMs worry a lot about GUCCI. She meets BOON YAT SIN again and finds out what he said about her grandchildren was all rubbish. When she goes home with the others, she realizes that her infrared belt was the reason why the babies cried, which relieves her.

LAU KAM has lost FOON by accident. He and KITTY want to find him by offering to change nappies for babies on the street, but fail. He wants to push the blame on GUCCI, but she sees through his plot. While they are wondering what to do, they receive a phone call saying that the caller has FOON. LAU KAM overhears TAI TSUN and his wife’s conversation in the toilet and suspects that they have kidnapped FOON. So he decides to investigate them.

KELLY has given birth to twins. Everyone argues over how to name the babies. Finally, they are named KIM FOON and KIM HEI, following the rules in the family name book. KELLY wants to take a shower and wash her hair, but the KIMs cut off her water supply to prevent her from doing so. MARCO forces his colleagues to look at some photos and video of the twins when they are eating some prickled gingers and pig feet in the office. Everyone is annoyed. MARCO and KELLY are woken up by their sons. Neither of them wants to take care of the babies, so they push the cot to another room. The babies’ crying wakes everyone up and they find that the babies are unattended.

KELLY has won the first prize in a lucky draw. Unfortunately, pregnant women are not qualified for the draw, much to KELLY’s annoyance. She hears that if a woman gives birth in an aeroplane, the baby can have free rides forever. KELLY is determined to get her babies some free benefits. TODAY tells her that a television broadcasting company is giving away free milk powders, nappies and a scholarship to babies born at the strike of the New Year. KELLY’s babies are due on the 8th, so she plans to induce them.

KELLY shouts at MARCO in a restaurant. Everyone suspects that she is suffering from pre-natal depression. She has offended LAU KAM, and so he scolds her. When she is trying to get back the mark six ticket, which is hidden inside LAU KAM’s sock, the others notice that the combination was contributed by everyone, but KELLY denies it. MARCO laughs at his old friend who is over protective towards his pregnant wife. The KIMs has a barbeque. Meanwhile, KELLY has a belly ache. Everyone thinks that she is about to give birth. Fortunately, she is just having a tummy ache. She is attended 24 hours by the KIMs. She tells the doctor about the KIMs’ strange behavior and the doctor diagnoses that all the KIMs are suffering from pre-natal depression.

GUCCI and the others decide not to tell ROGER about SARAH and GEORGE’s relationship. ROGER suddenly returns from Shanghai and is angry to find SARAH and GEORGE holding hands together. The others lie to him saying that someone has played a trick and put some glue on their hands. ROGER believes them. He takes out a ring, which shocks SARAH. She pretends to be sick and runs straight home. The others try to comfort ROGER and explain to him how much stress SARAH is having from dating him. They are worried that SARAH is putting herself into a drama series and reminds ROGER to watch it finale. Surprisingly, the soap finishes with a happy ending. Meanwhile, ROGER shows up with some flowers and a ring. SARAH is shocked and runs away with GEORGE in no time.

SARAH is bothered by the love triangle between GEORGE, ROGER and her. GEORGE decides to give up Hollywood and stays for her. He tries to ask ROGER to meet him on the roof and tells him everything, but fails. He and SARAH go out for a date and are nearly seen by ROGER. ROGER finds SARAH acting suspiciously lately, so he asks MARCO and the others to investigate her. They find her meeting GEORGE in a grave yard and think that she is possessed. MARCO and GUCCI follow her to the grave yard. They show up when SARAH and GEORGE are discussing how to improve ROGER’s heart function.

SARAH understands that she has to avoid seeing GEORGE for now she is ROGER’s girlfriend. She sees ROGER meeting a very pretty client, but she is not annoyed. An herbal tea shop is giving out some badges to attract customers and SARAH is one of them. However, she can’t bear the biter taste of the tea and returns empty-handed. GEORGE gets hold of some badges for her and mixes them in with some cloth pegs, which surprises her. GEORGE has a chance to develop in Hollywood. LAU KAM points out that he is not meant to be in a western country. Only AUNT LUNG’s luck charm will protect him. SARAH learns about it and humbly begs AUNT LUNG for the charm. She puts it into GEORGE’s jacket pocket. Coincidently, GEORGE puts more badges into her cloth peg holder. Love suddenly sparkles between them.

SARAH learns that GEORGE is preparing for an audition, so she volunteers to gather newspaper cuttings for him. She also rehearses some scenes with him. They are so involved they nearly kiss each other. The director asks GEORGE act like a person who has lost all hope in life, which he feels that he didn’t do well. He wants to give up acting and start his own business. SARAH learns about it and tries to comfort him. She doesn’t give enough time to ROGER because of GEORGE. She even goes back to her old looks, which scares the KIMs. ROGER thinks that he is not treating SARAH well enough, so he pays even more attention to her. After dinner, she sees a beggar on the road and thinks that he is a ghost, so she shouts out GEORGE’s name by accident.
