The Author

Hasty hands race across the paper, finger joints white from gripping the pen so tightly. Just one more page; if the ideas can only be poured out, perhaps this will be the last one written. The lines come to an end, and the pounding heart slows as the face pulls back from the desk to gaze upon another completed work. And then, it all begins again. A writer's work is never finished.
