Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood

A new family is moving into the Neighborhood, and Daniel wonders if there will be a new friend for him. The Tiger Family welcomes the neighbors and helps them adjust to their surroundings so their new place feels like home!

In a pandemic related episode, Daniel learns he can’t attend the Neighborhood Carnival in order to keep himself and others safe. Sing along with songs from previous episodes to help cope with the event and learn ways to help keep yourself and your family healthy.

Today is Daniel Tiger’s birthday! Daniel is very excited to go to Baker Aker’s bakery to help his Mom pick out a cake for his party, and so proud that his mom lets him carry the cake himself. But when they arrive back home after a bumpy ride on Trolley, he discovers that his birthday cake is smooshed! What a disappointment. His father helps him see that there are good things even in a smooshed cake – it’s yummy.

Daniel Tiger and his friends Prince Wednesday and Miss Elaina are having a picnic at the park near the clock factory. When it starts to rain, their picnic is ruined, leaving them very disappointed. Dad Tiger helps them turn their disappointment around with an inside picnic instead – inside the clock factory where the friends find something else good when they get to hear “chime time” together.

Daniel is visiting school for the first time and is a little nervous because he doesn’t know what it will be like there. He packs his backpack with his favorite playthings from home – a lot of things! Teacher Harriet shows him around his classroom, and Daniel is surprised to find so many familiar things there. He learns that asking questions is one way to learn about something that’s new – and to feel more comfortable there.

Tiger Family is expanding and Daniel finds out that he is going to be a big brother! At first, he isn’t sure what to expect, but as his family prepares for the arrival of the new baby, Daniel learns about what it means to be a big brother…and a big helper, too.

The new baby is almost here and the Tiger Family is getting ready for the new arrival. Daniel is eager to pitch in as Mom and Dad prepare the baby’s room, but struggles with the idea of giving up his old baby things for his new sibling. He soon realizes that being a big brother means letting go of things you no longer need, and that’s a big help for the whole family.

The baby is about to arrive and everyone is so excited! Mom and Dad head to the hospital while Daniel and Grandpere spend time at home going through some of Daniel’s old things. In this half-hour musical episode everyone welcomes the new addition to the Neighborhood as Margaret comes home!

Daniel worries about how he looks when he has to wear a different sweater because his red one is in the wash.

Daniel goes to school and finds that something is different: his teacher! But wait…it IS Teacher Harriet, only with a different hairstyle. Daniel is hesitant at first, but soon comes to understand that even though we can all change how we look on the outside, we’re still the same on the inside.

Daniel is at the library to check out a new book. Just as he spots the book he wants, O the Owl reaches for the same one! Who knew that sharing a book with a friend could be even more fun than reading it alone?

Daniel learns he can have fun on his own, with creativity and imagination.

Jodi is nervous about a new school

Daniel is upset when Miss Elaina declares she doesn't like egg salad.

Daniel is excited for the Spring Sing, but is hesitant to find he has a substitute teacher.

Prince Wednesday spills paint all over his pants and the floor but feels better after telling Teacher Harriet what happened.

Daniel is playing at Miss Elaina's house when they accidentally break her dad's old kite. They feel bad, but when they tell Music Man Stan what happened, he explains that accidents happen to everyone, even adults.

Daniel is unsure about his new babysitter, but he gives it some time and has a tigertastic day.

Daniel and O the Owl sleep over at Katerina’s. O feels uncomfortable at first, but gives it some time and decides to stay.

Daniel feels worried when Mom Tiger hurts her arm, but talking about it helps him feel better.

There's something new about Trolley, and Daniel is so excited to find out what it is! As he waits, he learns new things about his friends. In the end, Daniel discovers that Trolley can turn into a boat. Daniel and his friends enjoy a ride!

Teacher Harriet helps Daniel make a chart to ask his friends how they like to say hello.

When Miss Elaina and Katerina play together, they ask each other how they like to play. Sometimes they like different things!
