Series synopsis
Bodacious Space Pirates, also known as モーレツ宇宙海賊 is a Japanese animation action & adventure sci-fi & fantasy television series that premiered on Tokyo MX on January 8, 2012. It ended on July 1, 2012. It was created by Yuichi Sasamoto. It stars Shizuka Itoh, Keiji Fujiwara, Mikako Komatsu and Kana Hanazawa.
Marika is a high school student living on a planet known as Uminoakeboshi. One day she finds out that her deceased father was the captain of the space pirate ship called the "Bentenmaru". More importantly, the one to inherit the captain's title has to be a direct descendant—meaning that Marika is now the captain of the ship.
