When Jeff and Audrey give advices to the newly engaged Jennifer and Chris, it inadvertently set off a series of fights between Jeff and Audrey.

Married couple Jeff and Audrey have just learned their next door neighbor, Jennifer, has become engaged to her boyfriend, Adam. But when Jeff tries to give Adam advice, he develops doubt about the impending engagement. Meanwhile, Jennifer fixes up Adam's best friend, Russell, because she believes the right woman could change his habit of being a serial dater. Meanwhile, Jeff inadvertently starts a fight between Audrey and himself about an old bicycle.

When it's time to plan a party for Jeff's birthday, everyone gets involved. But Audrey is spending a little too much time on planning the party, which makes Jeff unhappy. Alhough Jeff won't reveal what he usually gets in the annual birthday deal, Adam brings up the subject with Jennifer and is then worried when Jennifer not only agrees to give him a birthday deal, but announces she wants to get one in return. Meanwhile, Russell is obsessed with trying to figure out what Jeff's birthday present really is.

While Russell has a hot new date, Audrey bets Jeff that he can't score a phone number from a younger woman and gives him a night without his wedding ring to try.

Jeff's snoring has gotten out of hands. Audrey, who isn't able to sleep anymore, decides that she and Jeff should sleep in separate bedrooms. While this could seems like a bad situation for some, other like Jeff see the good side of it. Jeff takes advantage of his new found freedom by staying up too late and living like a college student.

With Audrey's sister, Barbara, having problems in her marriage, the only thing she doesn't need is a man who would trick her to try and get her to sleep with him. But, sadly, in Audrey's life there is a man just like this. During this episode, Russel will try everything to get a one night stand with Audrey's sister.

Jeff finds himself in trouble when he tries to fix an issue Audrey is having with one of their neighbors.

Audrey discovers that Russell is really a closet Broadway-musical fan, and uses this knowledge to her advantage by blackmailing him for tickets. Meanwhile, Adam and Jennifer decide to take dancing lessons.

Audrey has to keep her bet to Jeff by finishing what she starts. We meet Russell's new assistant.

Jeff learns a fact about a friend he just met at the gym and Russell has doubts about the family history of a new girlfriend.

Jeff listens to Russell about a co-worker and finds himself in trouble. Timmy is sent to get Russell's phone from the apartment of his most recent conquest.

When Jeff and Audrey switch sides of the bed, Jeff accidentally rolls over and clocks Audrey in the face, landing her in the hospital.

Audrey tries to make Jeff feel guilty for not telling her that his friend's bachelor party in Atlantic City was cancelled; however, her plan backfires when Jeff discovers that Audrey is also being deceitful.

Jeff unsuccessfully tries to keep Russell from sleeping with their new surrogate, while Adam tries to work on improving his rear end.

Jeff tells Adam his secret for keeping track of Audrey's mistakes and how he uses that list to keep Audrey from getting too upset with him when he makes mistakes. Russell hoping to get a girl sends a nasty e-mail to Timmy's love interest.

Jeff wants to see if he can get Audrey to get the rug back after Jeff gets sentimental about the rug and reminds Audrey about all the good times they had on that rug.

As Liz (Wendi McLendon-Covey) enthusiastically tries to make her marriage to Russell work, he tries to end their relationship.

Worried about getting his father's approval, Russell gets Liz all dolled up to meet him. Meanwhile, Jeff is more concerned about his guys' weekend being cancelled than Audrey's feelings, and Adam has a new friend (Curtis Armstrong) to drive crazy.

Audrey’s throat surgery makes her unable to speak, much to Jeff’s delight. Meanwhile, Russell tells Timmy the only way that he will get a raise is if he does Russell’s dirty work and fires someone.

Liz temporarily moves in with Jeff and Audrey, and quickly irritates Audrey when she takes Jeff's side on everything. Meanwhile, Adam and Timmy team up to beat the rest of the company at ping pong.

Jeff and Audrey ask Russell to list the women he has slept with so they can avoid giving one of those names to their baby. Meanwhile, Adam is humiliated when he spends a lot of money on a new bicycle and gear.

Liz wants to have a baby, so she turns to Russell for help. Meanwhile, Timmy takes Jeff's advice on how to attract a coworker, but it all backfires.
