Two decades since viewers last saw them, the Ewing’s are back. Television's first family of drama, sabotage, secrets and betrayal are gathering at Southfork Ranch for the upcoming wedding of Bobby’s adopted son, Christopher, to Rebecca Sutter. Although the occasion is joyous, an old family rivalry crosses generations after secret oil drilling on Southfork results in a major gusher. Everyone has his or her own agenda when the fight over oil and land threatens to tear the Ewings apart once again.

The plot to take control of Southfork gets complicated when two-timing affairs and blackmail arise, and J.R. starts to ask one too many questions. Meanwhile, Christopher and Elena bury their feelings in order work together on a business deal. But Christopher’s new bride may be hiding her own secrets.

Just as John Ross sets out to claim his birthright and make his father proud, J.R. decides to move back to Southfork, much to Ann’s dismay. Bitter Ewing family enemy Cliff Barnes returns and tries to reconnect with his nephew, Christopher. A startling family announcement offers an opportunity to heal old wounds.

The battle for Ewing Energies heats up as Christopher and John Ross clash over opposing visions for the company. As Christopher seeks to gain the upper hand in his divorce from Rebecca Sutter, a game-changing revelation turns everything on its head, causing the entire family to put their differences aside and rally together -- except for John Ross, who uses J.R.'s dirty little tricks to take revenge on Christopher and Elena. Meanwhile, Ann is blackmailed by her ex-husband, Harris Ryland, forcing her and Bobby to confront a shocking secret from Ann's past.

With Christopher and Bobby at the helm of Ewing Energies, and Elena working to gain a stronger foothold within the company, J.R. and John Ross strike a deal to wrestle control of Ewing Energies away from them. Meanwhile, Pamela Rebecca Barnes schemes with John Ross to take half of Christopher's shares in Ewing Energies to fulfill her father's desire for revenge against the Ewings. And Ryland's mother, Judith, (guest star Judith Light) proves to be just as evil as her son.

When new evidence mysteriously surfaces pointing to foul play in Tommy's disappearance, Christopher aims to connect Pamela to the crime. J.R. and John Ross maneuver on two fronts to reclaim their birthright, including poisoning one family member against another. Pamela continues to push her father's agenda to gain control of Ewing Energies. As a new member of the family arrives at Southfork, Ann is pushed to the brink by Ryland's sadistic games and finally takes action.

Sue Ellen is planning John Ross and Pamela's wedding. However the united Ewing front can't last for long as John Ross gets into a conflict with Bobby over the ownership of the ranch. He's also meets up for an illicit liaison with Emma. Whilst Christopher and Elena are still at odds as Elena returns to Dallas with a secret agenda.

John Ross goes to great lengths to keep his plans for Ewing Global moving forward; Sue Ellen's alliance with her son is threatened; Emma enlists the help of her grandmother; Bobby and Ann investigate Ryland's release from jail.

Bobby tries to outmaneuver John Ross; Christopher makes a discovery about Nicolas' past; Emma's games jeopardize John Ross and Pamela's wedding.

J.R. is rushed to the hospital in critical condition following his gunshot wound. As the police investigate, they discover many people have the motive for shooting J.R. and everyone patiently waits by J.R.'s bedside hoping he will wake up and identify the shooter.

J.R., paralyzed after the shooting, undergoes further surgery to help save his life. While J.R. is in the hospital, Bobby takes over Ewing Oil for the time being. Meanwhile, Sue Ellen worries that she was the shooter as the police identify more suspects in the shooting.

Bobby has a hard time running Ewing Oil with J.R. undermining his every decision. Meanwhile, Miss Ellie finds the gun that was used in the shooting and Sue Ellen, full of guilt, has nightmares about J.R.'s shooting.

The body found in the pool on Southfork is finally identified, which prompts J.R. and Cliff to accuse each other of the murder.

Cliff and J.R. continue to clash -- J.R. hatches a plot to get John Ross back, but Cliff decides to leave Dallas. Meanwhile, Lucy tries to repair her marriage.

With the help of Miss Ellie, J.R. is able to see John Ross while he is at Clayton Farlow's ranch. Meanwhile, Ray goes into business.

J.R. looses his position as Ewing Oil president and discovers that he's not Christopher's father. A comatose Cliff fights for his life. Lucy awaits to find out if she is pregnant. Holly Harwood meets Bobby and ends up making J.R. an interesting offer.

J.R. attempts to get an early look at Jock's will. Lucy reveals the truth to Pam. Sue Ellen thinks about if she really wants to marry J.R. Marilee Stone offers Cliff a job. Ray learns about Amos Krebbs' health problems.

J.R. wants to have Jock's will executed and has the IRS pay a visit to Bobby. Lucy deals with her pregnancy. Miss Ellie decides to go to the Oil Barons Ball. Ray is told about Amos' death.

Bobby attempts to rescue those trapped in the fire at Southfork. Mickey opens his eyes.

Sue Ellen wants autonomy from J.R. Pam and Bobby talk about getting back together. Clayton wants Bobby to look after Miss Ellie.

Katherine attempts to convince both Bobby and Pam to get a divorce. Sue Ellen looks help in dealing with John Ross' mental health issues.

Afton finds Bobby shot in J.R.'s office. Lucy suspects J.R. framed Peter. Ray tries to warn J.R. against Randolph. Sue Ellen and J.R. have a new "marital arrangement" after the showdown with Peter. Lucy, J.R., and Sue Ellen rush to Dallas Memorial where Bobby undergoes an operation. J.R. realises the killer was after him. Tract 340 comes in and Cliff is delighted. The bullet wound blinds Bobby. Marilee is angry with J.R. after Cliff strikes oil. Afton suspects Cliff shot Bobby. Jenna and Pam meet by Bobby's hospital bed. An attempt is made on J.R.'s life. Afton leaves Cliff. Pam stops Katherine from going into the hospital to see Bobby. Marilee seduces Cliff. Bobby is sceptical about J.R. "watching" the Ewing Oil business while he's away. J.R. and Bobby learn that the killer is still at large.

Bobby informs Jenna that marriage is off the cards unless he manages to regain his sight. Cliff ends up being arrested for attempted murder.

Pam vows to ruin JR. The Ewing family receives sad news about Jock's brother Jason.

The Ewing family come together for Bobby's funeral. Dusty informs Sue Ellen that he is in love with her. Miss Ellie is happy to see Gary back home for a while.

After Sue Ellen gets drunk again, a worried Clayton and Miss Ellie look for her. Bobby's will is read, leaving Cliff hoping to take advantage of what it says. Mandy wants J.R. to divorce Sue Ellen.

Clayton and Miss Ellie continue to look for Sue Ellen. Pam finds herself being courted by two offers for Christopher's Ewing Oil shares. J.R. and Dusty face off over Sue Ellen.

Pam is shocked when Bobby is alive in her shower and learns that his death was just a dream. Meanwhile, J.R. moves forward with the proceedings to divorce Sue Ellen and Ray and Donna continue to have marital problems.

As J.R. plots to get Donna out of Dallas, a disaster strikes at Ewing 12. Meanwhile, a new ranch hand is hired at Southfork.

While Sue Ellen goes out of her way to embarrass J.R., Donna and Ray's marriage continues to be strained by Donna's lobbying. Meanwhile, Cliff sets out to get Jack's portion of Ewing Oil.

Pam is taken to the hospital with third-degree burns leaving Bobby feeling grief-stricken. J.R. started a new company called J.R.E. Industries. Jenna enjoys bonding with her new baby. Cliff is concerned that he's let down the memory of his father.

Cliff meets Dandy Dandridge, who reminds him of his late father. J.R. manages to get his hands on a copy of Pam's will to plan in case she dies. Bobby is offered support from April. Sue Ellen is approached with help for her business. Miss Ellie feels Clayton is doing too much.

Christopher runs away desperate to see Pam. Charlie wants Jenna and Ray to get married. J.R. meets a potential new business partner. Clayton continues to be at odds with Miss Ellie.

J.R. is taken to the hospital following his shooting by Sue Ellen. She thinks about filing murder charges against J.R. for Nicholas' death while also facing attempted murder charges of her own. Carter McKay meets Clayton and inquires about buying Ray's ranch. Cliff and April look for Pam. Bobby and Jeremy Wendell clash.

Bobby is offered by Clayton a refinery deal. Cliff wants out of the oil business for good. Mitch wants Lucy to return home to Atlanta. J.R. comes back to Southfork. Clayton introduces Miss Ellie to Carter. Sue Ellen purchases a house.

The Ewing men leave to go on a backwoods hunting trip. J.R. takes a liking to Cally Harper, a local waitress. Cliff offers Jordan Lee a deal to buy Barnes / Wentworth. Casey ends up striking oil.

Following the showdown in Europe, Ewing Oil and Weststar begin a new battle. Cliff is preoccupied at work. April's sister, Michelle, shows up in Dallas. Tommy returns home and attempts to make amends. Miss Ellie starts a search to find what the key in Jock's card opens.

Tommy claims to be a changed man as he plots revenge against Bobby. Cally's paintings manage to impress a gallery owner. J.R. makes a risky deal without Bobby's knowledge. Cliff manages to locate Afton. The mysterious key sends Miss Ellie and Clayton to New England. J.R. meets April's sister.

J.R. thinks about agreeing to a risky deal on a tanker when he needs oil badly. Cally has trouble getting past the fact that April once slept with her husband. Michelle meets Cliff in secret. Miss Ellie and Clayton's treasure hunt takes them to the town where Jock first struck oil. Tommy's violent temper gets out of control again.

While on their honeymoon, Bobby and April face a surprise twist from Sheila Foley. Meanwhile, Cally begins to doubt her decision to work with James and J.R. tries to find a way to get himself out of the asylum.

After kidnapping April, Sheila forces Bobby to act as her husband. Meanwhile, James plays a risky game of high stakes poker; Cliff and Liz's relationship continues; and J.R. rounds the other inmates up to help him in tricking Morrisey into confessing.

April learns that she is being held against her will by Sheila. Meanwhile, an ally turns on Bobby; and Cally visits J.R. and makes an offer that would get him released.
