Four old friends from high school have little in common, besides the fact that they were 'the losers' in high school who tried to avoid the attentions of the popular school bully, Tiffany Turner. Now twenty seven-years-old and content with their lives, the friends receive a surprise invite to their ten year reunion. Will facing Tiffany mean sweet revenge or a re-evaluation of their current lives?

As Bec, Frances and Sophie celebrate their eight million dollar lottery win, Jenny reacts badly to missing out. Despite Bec's best attempts to help talk Sophie and Frances into sharing, Jenny's over-the-top rant seemingly seals her fate. But when a series of events leads the girls to question the value of friendship in their lives, a collective decision is made to split the prize money four ways. Now all of them are multi-millionaires. And, more importantly, well and truly part of each other's lives once more.

As the arrival of the money looms, the reality of the win forces Bec, Jenny, Frances and Sophie to reassess direction of their lives. A misunderstanding, a friendship challenged and a relationship on the brink forces them all to make some life altering decisions.

Three months after Bec and Matt's wedding, they are dealing with Bec's pregnancy and the paternity of the child. Jenny starts her teaching course at university, while Frances and Zach continue parenting Jasmine. Sophie and Doug are happy, but their relationship is put to the test when Doug learns he is the father of Bec's baby.

The couples are loved-up and looking forward to Jenny's big weekend away but things don't go to plan. There's the issue of Jenny being broke and the bigger issue that she hasn't told the girls. Bec worries about the Matt and Doug dynamic in the confined spaces of a holiday house. Frances' going away plans are snagged before she's even left when Jasmine is nearly arrested. Sophie wants to celebrate becoming a doctor and enjoy her last days of freedom before the grown-up medical world descends. Meanwhile, the Gross's first weekend alone in a long time goes from bad to worse with the arrival of Jasmine, then Bridget and Wes and finally, Nana Dot.

Anxious to make a good impression at her orientation week, Jenny tries desperately to fit in, but her first day dredges up ghosts of high school past and sees her return to her comfort zone — the girls toilets. Bec is horrified by the thought that her Mum and Dad might be dating again, but her dad has a different surprise in store when he introduces his new fiancee, twenty-eight-year-old Brandi. Sophie's excitement for the first day of her medical placement is quickly dishevelled when she's relegated to menial tasks, but when Sophie is faced with a medical emergency, she decides to use her initiative. Meanwhile, Zach's wife Claire turns up on Frances' doorstep to apologise for her past behaviour, but Frances has a feeling that's not all she's there for.

After Matt's horrific death, everyone is expecting Bec to fall apart. But while her private torment is clear, she shows no overt sign of grief — even at Matt's funeral. Instead, she pastes on a brave face and displays an unnerving vigilance towards Harrison, not even letting Doug look after him. Jenny's adjusting to family life in the wake of the bombshell that there is a new Gross sibling, Sam McKenzie, who it has emerged is Brian's daughter from a previous relationship. The Gross house vibe has changed markedly, their freewheeling banter replaced with a forced politeness as they adjust to Sam. Meanwhile, Sophie planned to postpone her trip to Kenya in the wake of Matt's tragic passing. However, Bec insists she follow it through and when Doug gives her little reason to stay, Sophie heads to Nairobi with no return date locked in. And despite protestations to the contrary, the Jackson meltdown has also deeply affected Frances' sense of security.

Frances worries that Zach may be lured by his sexy female colleague Charlie, despite her own developing a 'friendship' with self defence instructor, Shannon. Sophie is trying her best to pretend she's been enjoying working in Kenya when really the horror she's witnessed over there is taking its toll. Patrick continues to flare up about Mr Gross getting to know his daughter, Sam. But Jenny realises that his anger stems from a deeper issue — his guilt over Matt's death. Meanwhile, Bec finally agrees to go for counseling.

Self-preservation is proving to be a challenge, especially for Frances who is confronted by the siege all over again when she learns that gunman, Jackson, has been released from prison.

Sophie still has the hots for Sam's brother Luke, making life in the share house a little awkward. Sam attempts to carry out Adam's last wish as detailed in his letter to her.

Sophie learns more about Luke's past. Frances has her first ultrasound and the image of her unborn baby rams home the reality of impending motherhood.

Jenny is forced to deal with Gabe's ex-girlfriend, Cassie and her enduring attachment to him. In denial about their relationship, Sophie decides to throw Luke a birthday party.

Jenny and Gabe's windfall is bringing her no peace of mind and when Gabe's smoking hot new protege Riley arrives, Jenny fears she's found the source of her future trouble.

Jenny's world is rocked when she discovers, much to her surprise, that she's pregnant.

When Jenny is offered a permanent job at Millner Boys,' she's in two minds. She loves teaching but misses the camaraderie she had with Rob.
