McLeod's Daughters

Following the death of her mother, Tess Silverman travels to Drover's Run, the farm where she spent the first few years of her life. Drover's is a rural cattle property in South Australia, to reconnect with her only remaining family, her father Jack and her sister Claire, whom she has not seen in 20 years, since her mother left Jack and moved to the city, and taking Tess with her. Tess arrives in a complex situation and finds herself meeting an adoring father but a hostile sister whom she no longer knows and who resents her sudden arrival and even quicker ability to win over Jack, something she herself has never been able to accomplish. Tess is content with making her visit a short one and continue on to Venice to move on with her life but the sudden death of their father forces Tess and Claire to overcome their differences and the many obstacles before them to realize their father's dream of running Drover's Run together.

Spontaneous and audacious Tess meetsreticent and stubborn Claire when the half-sisters are reunited by their father Jack's recent death and an 'odd couple' situation is born. A simple mistake by Tess leads to Claire making some difficult decisions.

It's shearing time and one of the men arrives with a reputation as a killer. Tess witnesses strange goings on and uncovers a secret, as Claire struggles to maintain her authority over the shearers, desperate to meet the deadline for selling her wool.

Jealousies arise as Claire competes in the rodeo while Nick and Alex compete for Tess's attention. Becky's reputation lands her in serious trouble, and the two sisters forget their differences and come to the rescue.

Jodi is torn between the truth and Becky's feelings when she realises that Sean's sudden visions are not as innocent as they seem. Meanwhile, Claire's flirtation with Peter takes a new turn.

During a rabbit plague a baby turns up on Alex's doorstep. Meanwhile, Peter and Claire struggle to deny their feelings for each other.

Becky is being stalked by someone who blames her for her life falling aparty. Meanwhile, Claire and Peter draw closer.

Claire is finally released from hospital and driven home by 'father-to-be' Alex. Her first day back does not go as smoothly as the doctor would have intended and Claire realises that some things may have to change. She must also contend with the effects of the lie about Alex being the baby's father.

Claire and Alex's lie about the baby causes a major upset between the sisters. Jodi is back, but wants to continue travelling. Becky does not give up hope for Brick. Claire eventually tells Liz the truth.

Becky's search for Brick comes to an end while Jodi's dream of a big wedding causes tension.

Six months after Claire's death, Tess has thrown herself into work and decides to reinstate the horse breeding and training programme at Drovers. A stolen horse, a raging bushfire, and Stevie defying orders push Tess to the limit, resulting in her breakdown.

Tess is disconcerted to learn Stevie can 'read' her so well whilst playing poker. Stevie explains the theory of 'tells' – signs that give away what a person is really thinking. Stevie finds herself set up as prime suspect for 'borrowing' Sandra's bull, Crusher, after agreeing to transport him for Sandra and settle the outstanding debt between them. When Crusher turns up in a Drovers paddock, apparently ready to service cows on heat, the finger of suspicion is immediately pointed at Stevie. Tess, unaware of Stevie's 'deal' with Sandra and knowing Stevie's history of 'borrowing' other people's possessions, reluctantly thinks the worst. Hoping to avoid police involvement, she agrees to sign over half the calves resulting from the serviced cattle to Sandra. Outraged, Stevie does her own sleuthing on Sandra's property and learns Crusher broke his penis several days ago. There's no way he could have sired any offspring and she and Tess realise they've been had.

Tess' world is turned upside down by the arrival of a man claiming to be Jack McLeod's long lost son.

Sally and Harrison now living at Wilgul threatens Tess's marriage; she escapes on an overnight muster only to be faced with a life and death situation she herself causes. During the muster, the girls of Drovers Run find a novel way to pass the time. They ask each other whom, out of each of them, they would date if they were a guy. However, Stevie is far from impressed when no one nominates her - with Kate and Jodi employing a strange way to make their boss feel better! Meanwhile, Alex and Dave are concerned about Harry's state of mind since Sandra left.

The women of Drovers take on the big boys of the sheep industry at the annual Wool Expo. As Nick's web of lies about Sally and the baby come undone Tess makes her feelings clear leaving him no choice but to leave Drover's Run and his wife behind.

Meg heads home early from the city in the hope she can be of some comfort to Tess during her time out with Nick. But Meg has little success trying to get Tess to open up and talk about her problems. On her return to Drover's Meg is shocked to learn of Jodi's new found enthusiasm for drag racing and unimpressed when she learns Terry appears to have done little to dissuade her. Luke gambles his and Jodi's holiday money in a bet on the drag race and when he is injured, she is forced to drive in his place. Will Meg's worries be justified?

Alex is missing but soon returns with his new fiancée, Fiona and unknowingly breaks Stevie's heart. Meanwhile, Tess learns that Nick's remains have been found; Jodi finally reveals to Tess that they are sisters, but things don't go as she had hoped.

Alex and Fiona's engagement is publicly announced thanks to a meddling Harry. Meanwhile, a jealous Stevie, prompted by Dave, looks into Fiona's past; Tess asks Jodi to move into the main house but this leaves Kate out in the cold.

Stevie's one night stand leads to revenge that endangers all of Drovers. Meanwhile, when Jodi learns Rob’s secret they are brought closer together; Terry discovers Moira is living at the truck stop.

Jodi is happy until her conflicted feelings for returned Rob (now going by his real name of Matt) and Riley rise to the surface. Meanwhile, Tayler is still at Drovers and getting into more trouble and Regan tries her best to reach out to her. Stevie finds that her her relationship with Alex may be changing for the better.

A charming, good-looking man named Marcus Turner arrives at Drovers and falls for Stevie. Meanwhile, Kate's romantic exit has upset Jodi; Tayler tries to prove herself to the Drovers' girls by volunteering to do a branding job.

When a sale falls through, Matt, who is now working for Jim Selkirk, arranges for him to buy them. Meanwhile, when bringing the sheep in Jodi discovers an angry rash has developed on her wrists and ankles. Tayler worries when Regan doesn't return on time but has her hands full caring for an injured possum with Patrick.

Kate is obsessed with proving that Riley survived the Christmas night car accident. Grace searches for the mysterious person who saved her life in the car accident. After his lucky escape from the car crash, Patrick feels invincible and risks his life to prove it. Ingrid is forced to reveal a dark secret — she is on the run from an abusive husband. The Drovers girls use old world technology to repair their windmill, which broke and fell during the recent flood.

Grace and Marcus are trapped at the bottom of an abandoned mine shaft meanwhile Kate helps Father Dan by caring for an elderly woman, who makes her life a misery. Tayler is nervous about taking her relationship to the next level and Phil goes to extreme lengths to woo back Moira.

Stevie's wild-at-heart former rodeo mate Sharon visits Drovers and turns everyone's lives upside down. Marcus sacrifices his chances in a major horse endurance race to save Ingrid from an abusive rider. Kate is feeling increasingly dissatisfied with her life, and throws herself into her new role as overseer. But is this enough for her?
