Series synopsis
Wizard Barristers, also known as ウィザード・バリスターズ～弁魔士セシル is a Japanese animation comedy action & adventure television series that premiered on Tokyo MX on January 12, 2014. It ended on March 30, 2014. It was created by Yasuomi Umetsu. It stars Kei Shindo, Rui Tanabe, Ayumi Tsunematsu and Rumi Okubo.
In 2018, humans and wizards live together in Tokyo. Police continue to protect order in society, but wizards are tried according to magical law, in special courts defended by wizard barristers. At age seventeen, Cecile has just become the youngest wizard barrister, and begins work at the Butterfly Law Offices. While she hasn’t realized it yet, she has tremendous magical potential.
Premise

Lady Justice: Sword and Scales Cecil, a brand new Wizard Barrister, ends up witnessing a bank robbery on her way to her first day at Butterfly Law Offices. Coincidentally, a man named Kohinata was being apprehended on suspicions of being part of the No Face gang, who robbed the bank and she says that she'll represent him. Cecil believes his words that it was in self defense, but this also had to do with the fact that her mother was on deathrow on the charges of murder. |
