Premise
Elite financier Damon Cheuk Yuk never hesitates to use any dirty tricks to gain a profit, so he has always been under close surveillance by the Commercial Crime Bureau (CCB). Episode 1 CHEUK YUK is the president of the large investment company Brainman Group and he is elected as the alchemist of the financial sector consecutively. CHEUK YUK attends a media interview cheerfully. CHI NGA, police officer from the Commercial Crime Bureau, dislikes his interview on TV very much. Her team leader CHOW SUN-YUNG also dislikes him. WONG SHIU-LUNG, director of Brainman Group, is captured by the police but he tries to shift the blame to CHEUK YUK. Police inspector HO SHEUNG-YEE, SUN-YUNG's supervisor, assigns people to carry out investigation at Brainman Group. CHEUK YUK cooperates with the police and he chats with SUN-YUNG. In fact, CHEUK YUK's ex-wife is SUN-YUNG's deceased younger sister. TSUI KAM-FAT is the stock analyst of the Group. All colleagues look down upon him but CHEUK YUK values him. Episode 2 CHEUK YUK's ex-wife CHOW SUN-LAI was suffering from acute disease and she needed to take medicine on time everyday. One day, CHEUK YUK returned home late because of work and he failed to deliver the medicine to SUN-LAI on time. SUN-LAI died eventually and SUN-YUNG hates CHEUK YUK deeply because of this. The Commercial Crime Bureau finally discovers the suspect who transferred money to SHIU-LUNG's bank account. When they try to capture the suspect, they are being attacked by others and SHEUNG-YEE is almost injured. SHEUNG-YEE discovers that an accounting firm is involved in the case. She asks SUN-YUNG and CHI NGA to carry out investigation there. CHEUK YUK is believed to be involved in a business fraud case and the market price of Brainman's stock drops. Reporter YUEN SHEUNG-HIM is very aggressive. CHEUK YUK appreciates him very much and offers him exclusive news.… ... |

Episode 3 CHEUK YUK dates with his wife FONG MING-YU at a private club house. CHI NGA is singing there and she impresses the couple remarkably. SHEUNG-YEE's subordinate CHU KWOK-LEUNG discovers that CHEUK YUK is having a close contact with a China government official's son LAW TSUN-KEI. SHEUNG-YEE carries out further investigation with her team immediately. She discovers that CHEUK YUK is receiving cash from TSUN-KEI. She suspects that those are black money and she captures them immediately. However, she later discovers that TSUN-KEI is innocent. CHO-WAI learns that CHEUK YUK is not getting along well with TSUN-KEI. He tries to please TSUN-KEI and he successfully convinces him to sell Brainman's company shares to him. In order to raise money and fight against CHO-WAI, CHEUK YUK calls for a shareholders' meeting but CHO-WAI arrives as well.… ... |
