Series synopsis
The Mokhtar Narrative, also known as مختار الثقفي is a drama war & politics documentary television series that premiered on IRIB TV1 on August 11, 2010. It ended on September 19, 2010. It was created by Davood Mir-Bagheri. It stars Fariborz Arabnia, Reza Kianian, Fariba Kowsari and Mehdi Fakhimzadeh.

Mokhtar Saqafi was a Shiite Muslim leader who sets up a rebellion movement in 686 A.D in the town of Kufa to avenge the martyrdom of Hussain (grandson of Islamic Prophet Muhammad).
