Ginger is invited to Courtney's party, but there's one problem: she has to watch Carl. She takes Carl to the party and ties him up with a hose in the backyard. Meanwhile, Dodie and Macie have their own party at Dodie's house.

Courtney decides to go to Camp Caprice for the summer along with Ginger and her friends. Will the spoiled rich girl get used to roughing it or ruin Ginger's chances with a boy named Sasha she meets there? Meanwhile, Carl and Hoodsey plot to stay at home during the summer to catch a dog thief by starting a vampire dog cleaning service while Darren and Miranda are sent to a military camp. Ginger gets accepted to The Avalance Art Academy. It's a big honor, but it will mean that she has to spend an entire semester away from home. This doesn't sit well with Dodie, who doesn't want her best friend to leave for so long. But what does Miranda and Mipsy have to do with Ginger's acceptance into the prestigious school? And what happens when Darren realizes he's in love with Ginger? Meanwhile, Carl discovers Noelle has telekenetic powers and enters her in the Weird Human Winter Fest. Why is Ginger so nervous about going on the ski trip with her school? When she has an allergic reaction to cafeteria mystery meat and is bedridden, she has Ginger pretend to be her. But as Ginger starts becoming Courtney too well and ignoring Macie and Dodie, will she turn into someone else for good? Meanwhile, Hoodsey hits his head and gets amnesia.

When Ginger realises she's a quarter Jewish, she starts exploring her newly discovered heritage. But when she tells Dodie she won't trim her tree with her, will Ginger be turning her back on Christmas in favor of her Judaism? Meanwhile, Carl breaks the news to Hoodsey that Santa Claus doesn't exist, so Hoodsey sets out to prove him wrong by asking Santa to bring him his one Christmas wish... a visit from Carl and Ginger's father.

When Ginger returns from Avalanche Art Academy and ignores everyone around her but Darren, will Macie and Dodie join forces with Mipsy and Miranda to get them to break up? Meanwhile, Noelle loses Carl in a card game to Polly Schuster, a younger kid who is obsessed with birds.

Ginger is throwing a party for Darren that every kid in the school wants to attend. But when Lois and Joann Bishop get into a fight at the grocery store over the last Easter ham on the shelf, Joann bans Hoodsey and Dodie from seeing Carl and Ginger.

Joann Bishop gets a job teaching home economics at the middle school that leaves Dodie mortified when Joann starts hanging with the "cool girls" at school.
