Drama following a woman who moves into a seemingly happy and content community, but is ultimately murdered by someone living close by. The series begins with Jan's death, before reverting back to the day she moves in, slowly leading viewers down the path to her mysterious death.

Huw is convinced that Jan is an undercover police officer, much to the annoyance of his wife Caroline. Gruff, meanwhile, becomes increasingly concerned about the prospect of a half-naked image of him appearing on the internet, and Richard and Sali continue to play little games within their soulless marriage. Richard pays more attention to his new neighbour, and Jack's 18th birthday party proves an ideal time for the residents to meet, mingle and fall out.

Betty pushes Ben to worm his way into Jan's house by starting a new relationship, but he expresses little interest. Meanwhile, Huw continues to worry about the drugs he has hidden in the woods and becomes convinced that Jan has moved onto the close just to spy on him.

Simon's body is lying on the pavement. 35 days ago, he and his wife Leslie along with his friends are enjoying a picnic. Chris's warehouse goes up in flames. Private Investigator Claire wins Ruth's praise for a successful sting op in a scam.

Claire's investigation into the warehouse fire continues. Chris and Hazel are at each others throats and are increasingly suspicious of each other.

Danny is worried about Claire's investigation and seeks Simon's advice on how to conduct himself in a second interview.

The Dolwen Farm siblings return to scatter their mother's ashes: Geraint with partner Gwenda and his daughter; Sara with her family; Nia on her own and troubled Ifan.

Family members continue to squabble over the contents of the will, while Ifan searches for his mother's diaries mentioned in it. Catrin and Josh become closer.

Huw accuses Tom of swindling money from Lissie. Dafydd takes action after Huw once again refuses that Sara rent the farm. Nia demands Tom repay his debt to her.

Bill and Angharad's marriage comes under strain as they both look after a new baby.

With 27 days to go, Dylan is in a panic fearing that Beth is in danger, and rushes to save her. The pressure of arranging a wedding and keeping hold of the family business is starting to tell on Clive and Nesta which is causing problems for their son Owen. His ex-girlfriend Rhian is shocked to find out who her new relationship is.
