Episode 1 TAI KOO-TUNG, who runs the Tasty Food Cafe, is a miser. His daughter TAI YING-LEI is taken to the hospital for stomach cramps. He is very worried. LEI’s mother passed away when she was very young. TUNG has been taking care of her since and so LEI is very grateful to him. LEI’s boyfriend YIP TSIK-LEUNG is a cello teacher. He always dreams that he could study music in Vienna one day. TUNG does not like LEUNG. He dresses up as a homosexual to check out what kind of person LEUNG but he ends up having an attack of diarrhea. LEI YUNG-CHI is an assistant manager at the Investment Department of the Ching Kong Bank. TUNG is not happy that he is requested to pay a service charge for insufficient amount of bank savings. He argues with CHI at the bank and both make a laughing stock of themselves. TUNG runs into YIP MO-SING. He mistakenly thinks that SING is an invisible rich man…… |

Episode 2 Some creditors appear at the Cafe. SING wants to withdraw now that he knows that the cafe is running short of capital. Rainfield Bonds close down. SING and other investors go to Ching Kong Bank for compensation. CHI is angry to see her younger sister, LEI YUNG-SHAN, supporting the investors. CHI and SHAN do not get along well, as SHAN is mad about her sister for not letting her see their father before he died. SING volunteers to be the chairman of the Victims’ Alliance. The Alliance has a meeting with Ching Long Bank, during which TUNG steals the limelight. TUNG runs into TSUI HEI-HEI, who sells scraps for living. HEI is also a victim of Rainfield Bonds. She asks TUNG to help her get her compensation. CHI meets with SING. She asks him to persuade other victims to accept 50% of compensation. If he manages to do so, she will pay him 100%. Before he starts his persuasion, he uses a trick to ruin SING’s image…… |

Episode 3 LEUNG is very disappointed that SING should betray other victims. But he forgives his father when he sees his bank statements. SING goes to NGAI CHUN-CHONG, a rich businessman in town, to see whether they can open Hong Kong-styled restaurants in Mainland China together. The latter is not interested nevertheless. LEUNG sells his cello in order to help SING out. SING pawns some valuable items to buy it back. CHI is still very upset about PAUL. She goes to a bar to drink her unhappiness away. SHAN shows up and draws away the man who is trying to take advantage of CHI. She then gives CHI some words of consolation. The sisters are reconciled with each other. SING tricks LEI into leasing her flat to him. Furious, TUNG makes SING and LEUNG abide by the strict regulations he sets. SING runs into HEI on the street. They end up at a police station because of some minor misunderstanding…… |
