Series synopsis
Desejos de Mulher is a soap drama comedy television series that premiered on TV Globo on January 21, 2002. It ended on August 23, 2002. It was created by Euclydes Marinho. It stars Regina Duarte, Glória Pires, Alessandra Negrini and Eduardo Moscovis.
Fashion designer Andréa Vargas finds out the hard way she is adopted. The relationship with her sister Júlia had always been difficult, since childhood, and the antagonism grew when Júlia came between Andréa and her first true love, Diogo. But the worst is still to come: her first assistant in her atelier, Selma, is having an affair with her husband Bruno.
Premise

Chapter 1 Andréa Vargas receives the Prêmio de Moda Brasil. A few hours earlier, Letícia provokes her mother, Julia, saying that she is envious of her sister Andréa's wealth and fame. Isaura begs Mercedes to tell Andréa who her mother is. Julia listens behind the door. Andréa accuses her sister of being envious. Julia throws in Andréa's face that she was adopted. Diogo remembers Andréa. Under the influence of a sedative, Andréa faints during the awards ceremony. |

Chapter 2 Bruno picks Andréa up and takes her away. Júlia feels guilty. Mercedes tells Andréa that her real mother has already died. Atílio convinces Renato to return home with Júlia. Andréa remembers the past: her romantic entanglements, the loss of her child, the argument with Júlia, and the difficult decision to marry Bruno. Renato and Chico play soccer. Bill kicks Gabriela out of the apartment. Júlia returns to her sister's house. |

Chapter 3 Andréa kicks Júlia out. Fernanda gives Chico a deadline to disappear from her life. Renato assures Júlia that Chico will help put a crook in jail. Bruno and Selma kiss. Diogo gets drunk to celebrate what would have been his silver wedding anniversary with Andréa. During a dive with Bia, Diogo gets trapped at the bottom of the sea. A rescue team arrives. Andréa feels a pang in her heart: Diogo is dying. |
