DR. KONG TUNG-KIN explains to a patient the effect of his medication. KONG WAI-MUI, his nurse, who is also his step-sister, urges him to hurry up. Keeping KIN in the dark, MUI refers the patient to the Chinese medical practitioner next door. SUNG CHOR-KIU, the Chinese medical practitioner, is no one else but her mother. KIN’s father, KONG CHI-TAT, visits KIN’s mother, KAM WAH-HEI. TAT is rude to HEI. HEI has been tyrannized by MUI all these years. KIN blames TAT for fooling around. KIN decides to put up at the laboratory for the time being while he works on the development of a new drug. DR. MAN KA-LING, who is a pharmacologist, tells KIN that a pharmaceutical company has agreed to support their project. However, they soon discover that the company has been bought up by Hong Zhi Pharmaceutical Co Ltd. KIN and LING run into TONG GING-TIN, CEO of Hong Zhi, as they are leaving Hong Zhi. TIN invites them to join his company.… ...

After some negotiation, FUNG agrees not to take KIN’s life for the time being. FUNG is taken aback later when FUNG becomes his neighbor. FUNG wants to take HEI’s life. KIN stops him right away. FUNG demands KIN to give him a name in two day. FUNG suggests TIN. KIN gives it a thought. TONG WING-SUN, TIN’s son, appears with FUNG. FUNG claims he is able to make TIN support KIN’s project again as well as change his view on him. Not soon afterwards, TIN visits KIN at the laboratory. TIN tells KIN he is interested in developing the anti-sensitivity medicine he is working on. KIN puts him off, as he has no clue at all about what he really wants.

Taking with him a bunch of flowers, KIN heads for the hospital to express his love for FONG. He is surprised to learn that she is going out with SUN. KIN has passed FUNG’s test, which means his life is spared. FUNG is staying however to learn how to be a human being. He wants to be friends with KIN. FUNG tells KIN he will call on him with his girlfriend later for dinner. KIN fears it is FONG he is talking about. FUNG has become a sales executive of Hong Zhi Pharmaceutical Co Ltd. He is late the first day he reports duty. SUN is not happy about this. FUNG tells KIN to come over to HONG ZHI and demands that he cooperate with TIN. It takes FUNG a bit of persuasion to convince KIN the advantages of working with TIN. KIN agrees to develop a dementia drug for TIN while he continues to work on his anti-sensitivity medicine. FONG visits SUN at Hong Zhi. TIN’s ridicule embarrasses her.
