Welcome to Sweetie Pie's

Real-life adventures of St. Louis soul-food restaurateur Robbie Montgomery, a onetime Ike and Tina Turner backup singer. As the series begins, Miss Robbie and her business partner (and son), Tim, are preparing to open their third Sweetie Pie's eatery. Meanwhile, Tim and his girlfriend, Jenae, are preparing for both their wedding and the birth of their first child. And Robbie, who's 71 and single, is still looking for love.

Miss Robbie leaves Tim in charge at Sweetie Pie's to plan her birthday party. This year's bash will include a reunion performance of her old group, the Ikettes.

Two events test Miss Robbie's nerves: She discovers that her kitchen manager, Pops, lied; and Jenae her daughter-in-law-to-be, who is six months pregnant, has a medical emergency.

In the season opener, Robbie plans a party to celebrate the opening of the Upper Crust, but Tim claims he's too busy to help with preparations. Elsewhere, Charles seeks a bartending post at the new eatery.

Tim views the newly minted Upper Crust as competition and battles Robbie for customers.

Tim lands a huge catering gig for the same weekend as the annual family reunion at Upper Crust, resulting in hurt feelings. Elsewhere, Monique approaches Charles about his slovenly habits.

Robbie considers whether to close down her first restaurant; Tim and Jenae deal with emotions regarding their separation; Tim begins to regret letting Charles move in.

Tim trains Andre in the family business while he prepares for his first weekend alone with his son. Meanwhile, Charles has a pregnancy scare.

Tim and Robbie take turns looking after Ike; Andre picks Charles to be his driving teacher; Tim creates a contest to boost business.

Robbie mediates a fight between Jan and Michelle at West Florissant in the third-season premiere. Meanwhile, Tim and Charles check out a potential new restaurant location in Houston; and Jenae thinks about how a move would affect her family's future.

Tim takes over at Upper Crust while Robbie helps her brother George prepare for open-heart surgery. Elsewhere, Charles gets a surprise that affects his career.

Tim returns to Houston to work on plans for a new Sweetie Pie's location. Elsewhere, Monique prepares for an adult conversation with Nya; and Lynda finds her dream home.

Day two at TJ's Sweetie Pie's brings as many complaints as customers; Miss Robbie checks in on the St. Louis staff, forcing Tim to step up.

Miss Robbie and the Sweetie Pie's family are devastated by the senseless murder of her grandson, Andre; Tim turns his focus to expanding the Sweetie Pie's franchise; the NoHo employees have a new threat to deal with.

Tim returns to St. Louis to open a new restaurant, and is surprised to find out that Miss Robbie has something new up her sleeve; the NoHo team stages a mutiny against chef Clark; the family deals with the ripple effect after Andre's death.

Tim gives Miss Robbie a tour of the prison where he served time; Jan prepares to re-open West Florissant to the community; and the tension over Chef Clark requires an intervention.

With her son avoiding her calls, Miss Robbie pays a tense visit to Tim's new restaurant in Houston in an effort to restore their rocky relationship. More problems at NoHo cause Charles to rethink whether or not he wants to stay in the family business.

Things aren't so sweet at Sweet Times Houston, causing Tim to enlist Charles, Chloe and Monique—with mixed reactions. In St. Louis, there's tension over who's managing Hamburger Heaven, and Miss Robbie throws herself a birthday party and gets a surprise guest.

Monique has been in need of a change, and after a big fight with Jenae takes Tim up on his Houston offer. Charles and Chloe head to the Lone Star State as well, and Miss Robbie is getting tired of being so busy, and gets serious about retiring.
