In the first of a new series of Ultimate Emergency Bikers, biker cop PC Martin Smith gets more than he bargained for as he joins in the pursuit of a van driving at high speed. But the driver's determined to shake off Smithy and his colleagues who find themselves playing dodgems with stuff lobbed out of the back of the van.

Down in Cornwall, paramedic Sarah Watson pulls on her leathers to answer the distressed call of a new mum. Baby Oliver, is floppy, unresponsive, and has a raging temperature. When Sarah arrives on scene will she be facing a case of deadly meningitis? During rush hour in North Yorkshire, biker cop Smithy is on his way to attend a crash. A white van has veered across the white line, but, thanks to one driver’s quick reactions, a potential disaster has been avoided. Smithy soon learns that this is more than simple driver error, however, when he discovers that the van driver is drunk.

In this week's episode, Bristol biker paramedic Wingnut has a tough case on his hands. A woman is stuck in the mud on the banks of the river Avon. The water's low at the moment but the tide can come rushing in and rise by a foot every seven minutes.
