Christi is going to be working with the dark blue team, Scott & Tammy, while Laurie will be working with the red team, Bishop (aka Smitty) & Angela. The Green team calls their room a blank canvas, but they don't want dark colors on the walls. With 70% of a nationwide vote, the Light Blue Team of Jon and Stacy Laymon of Ocoee, Florida, have won the eight-week competition that was Trading Spaces: Home Free over Angel and Vilma Rivera of Kissimmee, Florida. They won up to $350,000 to pay off their mortgage. Whether or not they were winners, both the Riveras and the Laymons were the recipients of up to $27,000 in room renovations courtesy of their Home Free competitors. The first round featured a $2,000 bedroom renovation, the second a $5,000 living room redesign, and in the third, new appliances and other niceties resulted in kitchen makeovers valued at up to $20,000. But Laurie Smith thinks some promises are meant to be broken! See what happens when her team learns about her ceiling-fan plan. Up the street, Genevieve Gorder's house is peaceful as she and her team transform a plain living room into an elegant and still family-friendly space. And carpenter Amy Wynn Pastor tries to strike a balance between peace and frenzy as she assembles a complex canopy bed.

It's swinging singles time on Trading Spaces! Designer Laurie Hickson-Smith works with single-guy Ed to redo his neighbor's master bedroom. Meantime, single gal Laurie fixes up Ed's master bedroom with the design help of Frank Bielec. Ty Pennington works in both rooms, making a big armoire for Laurie and a manly dresser for Frank. Designers Doug Wilson and Genevieve Gorder and carpenter Ty Pennington are on hand to help as the Delta Upsilon fraternity trades rooms with the Alpha Omicron Pi sorority. After assessing each other's digs (while the girls find the boys' place gross, the frat boys deem the female abode unwelcoming), the remodeling begins with the standard rules: two days, a $1000 budget and no peeking. The results are as extraordinary as the measures taken, which include throwing everything in the frat room out the window and lighting a bonfire of discarded stuff at the sorority house.

Trading Spaces kicks off a brand-new season in suburban Philadelphia, Pa. Preston and his wife, Rachelle, are trading with their neighbors B.J. and Sue.
