Grayson's Art Club

Alongside his wife, psychotherapist and author Philippa Perry, Grayson takes viewers behind the scenes at Manchester Art Gallery for the preparation of an exhibition of work produced during his six-part series Grayson's Art Club. The artist is reunited with some of the members of the public who had their entries selected for the exhibition, as well as some of the celebrity guests and well-known artists from the show. Once lockdown is lifted, Manchester Art Gallery will re-open with Grayson's Art Club, which will run until mid-April.

As Grayson and Philippa Perry prepare to throw open the doors to their studio for a new series of Grayson's Art Club, they share advice and tips about the art for the public to send in for the new run. The couple explain the themes that will be explored in the second series. And they look back on the extraordinary year we've all been through.

Grayson Perry ventures viewers behind the scenes at the Bristol Museum and Art Gallery, as he oversees the creation of the new Art Club exhibition. Leading artists and celebrities, are heading to Bristol to form a lasting artistic record of the experiences of the nation this year. Grayson and his wife Philippa unveil the exhibition to some of the participating artists, both members of the public and some of his famous Art Club guests - Boy George, Johnny Vegas and Mawaan Rizwan. The exhibition stands as a joyful and moving celebration of the artistic talent and resilient spirit of the people of the UK in 2021.

Grayson encourages viewers to use isolation to produce visual representations of these unique times. Once the crisis is over, he will curate an exhibition featuring some of these works.

Grayson Perry asks people to send in their artworks of animals - whether it be a beloved pet, an abstract or an exotic creature.. Hosting from his art studio, he is joined by Harry Hill and artist Maggi Hambling as he teaches new skills and sees what people have made in isolation.

The theme for this edition is fantasy, with Grayson Perry speaking to members of the public about their ideas and actress Jessica Hynes revealing the inspiration behind her design. Sculptor and Angel of the North creator Antony Gormley shares his artistic insights.

Turner prize-winning artist Grayson Perry and Philippa Perry are joined by musician and artist Boy George, who creates an artwork inspired by family, which is this week's theme. Grayson and Boy George then select their favourite public art submissions of the week. Grayson also meets photographer David Bailey, who talks about his passion for painting, and artist Yinka Illori, whose work fuses stories from his British and Nigerian heritage. Grayson and Philippa Perry are joined by TV presenter Sue Perkins, who crafts an unusual work of art on the subject of food. Grayson also talks to Rose Wylie, who became an art world star in her seventies. There's a peek inside the studio of Lucy Sparrow, who uses felt to create colourful replicas of everyday food items, while comedian Mawaan Rizwan makes his own piece of food-related art. Plus, special guest Nigella Lawson helps choose the favourite public art submissions of the week.

Grayson Perry's feel-good art show returns, welcoming comedian Bill Bailey into the studio and featuring public art on the theme of Love. And artist Ai Weiwei makes an appearance.
