Series synopsis
The Sympathizer is an American drama war & politics television series that premiered on HBO on April 14, 2024. It ended on May 26, 2024. It was created by Don McKellar, Park Chan-wook. It stars Hoa Xuande, Robert Downey Jr., Toan Le and Fred Nguyen Khan.
Near the end of the Vietnam War, a spy who was embedded in the South Vietnam army flees to the United States and takes up residence in a refugee community, where he continues to gather intelligence and report back to the Viet Cong.
