Series synopsis
The Laid Off Demon, also known as 失业魔王 is a Chinese animation comedy sci-fi & fantasy television series that premiered on Tencent Video on February 5, 2025. It ended on June 27, 2025. It was created by Wu Ye. It stars Bu Yi, Fu Gui, Chang Xu and Peng Xiaopang.
Adapted from the light novel "Unemployment Demon," tells a story of a powerful demon king who, while looking for a job and trying to find a way to lift his curse in order to pay off his debts, embarks on adventures. Alongside him is a rookie hero who, similarly, is working and adventuring to pay off his debts. Together, they have a chaotic and humorous journey.
Premise
