Dog the Bounty Hunter

While this isn't the actual pilot, A&E has taken footage from their reality show "Take This Job" recording an episode they did on Dog and his bail bond business in 2003 and turned it into a "lost pilot." The episode is just like the current version of "Dog the Bounty Hunter" but with extra narration.

In the premiere episode, Dog defends his family name as he chases down a ""Chapman gone awry."" Floyd Chapman is a bail jumper with the same last name as Dog (but no relation). Dog uses a phone ruse to get information from Floyd's mother, then rocks his team into a state of aggressive anticipation to make the bust at Floyd's family home. - Summary from A&E's ""Dog"" website

In Hawaii, Dog sets off from Honolulu to Kona to help his son Leland with some of his fugitives. First, a stop at Leland's boxing gym to warm up for their day of hunting with a quick sparring session and some father-and-son time together.

Two drug dealers have failed to appear in court, and Dog is on the hunt. He divides the group into two teams - the veterans (himself, Beth, and Tim) and the rookies (Leland and Justin) - and have them complete to see who can catch their guy first. While the veterans go after a potentially-dangerous man who's hiding out on the beach, the rookies must find a young Samoan woman who is on the run in her own community. Dog tries to nab a fugitive named Wayne by tricking him. Dog calls Wayne to tell him that he's won a new vacuum cleaner and he should stick around to get it. Dog then sends his daughter, Lyssa, to "deliver" the vacuum cleaner and lure Wayne out of his house. But when Lyssa arrives, Wayne is gone, and with the sun setting, the chances of nabbing the fugitive suddenly don't look very good.

Dog and his team pursue a heroin addict named Eugene. When they find him, Beth tells him about her first husband (whose life was ruined by heroin) and pleads with him to enter rehab. Meanwhile, Dog and Beth plan a surprise birthday party for Leland.

Dog and his team take part in an anti-drug parade, then pursue a convicted drug dealer named Pana. A woman with a score to settle helps Dog set a trap to catch him. - Summary from A&E's ""Dog"" website

Dog has been hunting Samu for over three years, but now he has only three days before Samu's bond comes due -- when Dog and Beth will have to pay $75,000! Luckily, Dog and the team get a tip that Samu's playing semi-professional football in the San Francisco area, and they head for California. With only hours to go before the bond comes due, Dog swoops down on a construction site where Samu is supposed to be. Will Dog get his man -- and save his money?

Federico is on Dog’s mind and not the remodel Beth has done to the office. This fugitive will prove to be difficult catch…and one “click” can send things in a whole different direction.

Dog and the gang start the day by judging an elementary school talent contest. Later they move onto Bobby who is a parolee and the girlfriend is revoking bail. After a tense standoff Bobby reveals that he is both good and bad.

Dog usually takes his job personally, but this time a case really hits home. First, he and Beth receive a special gift--a painting of Dog's recently deceased daughter, Barbara Katy. Everyone on the team needs to take a moment to recover from the emotional impact of that. But when Lyssa points out that the fugitive in Dog's next case has the same birth date as Barbara, Dog takes a special vow to capture the young woman so he can persuade her to avoid the same mistakes his daughter made.

A Hawaiian surfing hero is on a wave to nowhere and it's Dog's turn to play lifeguard. "Buttons," known throughout the islands for his prowess on the waves and his daring 360's, has wiped-out on the rocky shoals of drug addiction. This troubled legend has been losing his struggle with the "Big H" and Dog's search to find him is a voyage through the murky waters of homelessness and despair.

Dog shows his love of justice and children in this poignant episode. He begins by giving encouragement to a group of handicapped children and making them honorary members of his posse. Dog and the team then start their search for Jacob, a fugitive who's abandoned his wife and children. When the hunt leads Dog to a meeting with Jacob's family, he asks Jacob's kids a question: If he could grant them one wish, what would it be? They wish for Dog to bring their daddy back. But can Dog do it?

Today Dog and the family are back in Colorado and are about to make one of their most exciting captures ever. On his search he'll encounter a felon with history of violence and an alleged affection for sawed-off shotguns, a desperate addict crying for help, and a brave informant who'll risk it all to help Dog bring the fugitive to justice. And when the adrenaline-fueled arrest goes down, every family member will play a critical role.

Dog and the Chapman clan start their hunt today with another well-established bail bonding family. And in fact as Dog's fame has grown, so have his responsibilities. So in addition to tracking down two felons on the lam, Dog has to prepare for a goodwill and fundraising trip to Mooseheart, one of America's largest homes for children in need. Can he catch his prey in time to be there for the kids?

Today Dog is back in Hawaii confronted with two alleged felons who are in crisis. Family and friends of these bondees are convinced that they are getting into further trouble while awaiting trial, so Dog and the posse have to bring these men back to the relative safety of jail. In both cases addiction has a powerful hold on their targets, and so Dog's motto of "find 'em and fix 'em" is truly at work.

Dog believes that the family that plays together stays together. But what happens when a family's idea of fun is getting high and running amuck? Today's case is a twofer, a brother and sister both charged with drug related offenses. Also, Dog has crossed paths with the brother before. He once tried to stop Dog from arresting one of the most violent fugitives of his career. Suited up and ready, the crew heads out and descends on the fugitive's last known address. At the door, the mother insists that no one's inside, but Dog knows better.

Dog is always trying to reduce the number of fugitives in Hawaii, so he really doesn't like felons from the mainland combining their flight from the law with an island vacation. So when a brother bondsman from Washington State calls Dog for help tracking a runner in search of fun in the sun on the tropical paradise of Kauai, the team is on the case. Dog's only problem? No leads!

"When you don't write the bond, you don't know the prey," as Dog always says. So when Dog and team help out a bondsman friend whose client jumped bail, the target is a blank slate. Are his tattoos gang related? Is he likely to be violent? And making matters worse, when they hit his apartment they learn he is moving out. Unless they catch him today, their only lead will vanish!

Dog's target today seems to have a taste for drugs and a record of reckless driving. The hunt has deep emotional resonance for the team because today is the anniversary of the fatal car accident of Dog's daughter Barbara Katie. As the hunt goes deep into the night the team is confronted with a speeding SUV driven by the fugitive, and Dog worries that a similar fate awaits this fugitive.

This fugitive has a bad reputation and a knack for running from the law. The pursuit has Dog and team traveling through an urban dystopia of suspicion, false leads and mistrust. And the more they learn about their target, the more they believe that he needs to be behind bars.

What looks like a routine pick-up turns into a complicated case of betrayal, deceit, as well as quality nail care as Dog and company track down an fugitive alleged to be an abusive boyfriend with one too many friends in his close knit community.

Dog's latest fugitive, doesn't think small when it comes to illegal drugs: he was carrying almost a pound of methamphetamine when he was arrested. Now he's on the run with his pregnant girlfriend on the high plains of Colorado. Dog and his team track him through rundown trailer parks, junkyards filled with rusted cars, and finally to a desolate country road where they have to make a risky nighttime bust.

Dog is back in Hawaii and tracking a dangerous fugitive through the jungles of the Big Island. Their prey is being protected by a ring of family and friends that Dog must forcefully confront to bring in his man. Finally a hot tip sends Dog and team to a volcanic moonscape and a midnight raid.

When Dog decides to spend the day caring for his newest granddaughter, Beth enlists the girls to hunt down a female fugitive. Heading into a dangerous part of town the ladies will use their feminine wiles to track this mother gone wrong.
