Murderous Encounter, also known as 恋は闇 is a Japanese drama mystery television series that premiered on Nippon TV on April 16, 2025. It ended on June 18, 2025. It was created by Naoko Komuro, Mako Watanabe. It stars Jun Shison, Yukino Kishii, Misato Morita and Jin Shirasu.
Two journalists fall in love while investigating a serial murder case, but as secrets unfold, she must decide if she can trust him or if he's the killer she’s searching for.

Mankoto is a freelance writer for a weekly magazine, and ends up covering the serial murders with Hiroki, a renowned reporter who has named the murders "The Eye of Horus Murders." Mankoto becomes the chief of the exclusive reporting team for the case, but she cannot shake her reluctance to turn her camera on the bereaved families. However, as she and Hiroki continue their reporting, something changes...
